Summary

In Communist Cuba, something as simple as a friendship between two people can be devastatingly complicated. Diego, a cultured homosexual, becomes obsessed with David, a younger, heterosexual communist student and a would-be writer. Despite his mistrust, David begins to accept Diego, and his hard-and-fast beliefs begin to waver. Based on the award-winning film of the same name and the short story “The Wolf, the Forest, and the New Man” by Senel Paz, Strawberry & Chocolate puts an unlikely pair under the spotlight, questioning whether friendship can overcome intolerance.

The New York production features Roy Arias, AJ Cedeño and Andhy Mendez.
