the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), which starting September 17 is back smacking NYC in the face with an its indispensable showcase of new musicals - plus readings, concerts, screenings of film and TV musicals, panel discussions, parties and more. Throughout the three weeks of the festival there's something for every musical taste, from traditional Broadway sounds to rock, R&B, hip-hop, country, and opera. If you're looking to laugh, try The Brain From Planet X or Sympathy Jones or something more pop culture, like JC2K or Die Hard the Puppet Musical. f you're feeling nostalgic, just board the NYMF Delorean and set your time circuits to the sixties with Going Down Swingin' or the fifties with With Glee, Such Good Friends or Mud Donahue and Son.
