Lysistrata Jones two-act comedy tells the story of a Athens University basketball team that has not won a game in 30 years. It is set in a university gym featuring onstage basketball hoops, athletic equipment and sports lockers. Lysistrata Jones, a new student transfer dares the team's tired and fed-up girls to stop "giving it up" until their boyfriends win a game and ultimately find that abstinence truly does make the heart grow fonder!
The music is highly energetic with dances and basketball movements. Lysistrata Jones musical sporting comedy is accompanied by a playful Greek muse narrates the story with humorous commentaries on the behavior of Lysistrata and her friends.
