I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER Presented by Keen Company, in association with Wiltsie Bridge Productions, at The Clurman @ Theatre Row.
Gene is a grown man with a successful career and relationships, but his father can still make him feel like a child. I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER is the story of Gene’s struggle to balance his own happiness with the needs of his aging parents, and his yearning for a closer relationship with the father he cannot change.
In 2007, Keen Company produced the first major New York revival of Robert Anderson’s TEA & SYMPATHY. In Variety, Mark Blankenship wrote, 'Once again, Keen Company has invigorated an overlooked play. The troupe's taut revival lays bare a dense thicket of psychological need that makes the play feel arrestingly modern.' In conclusion of our tenth anniversary, Keen, in association with Wiltsie Bridge Productions, will present another landmark work from Mr. Anderson, directed by Drama Desk nominee Jonathan Silverstein (THE DINING ROOM).
I never Sang for My Father is by Robert Anderson, directed by Jonathan Silverstein and featuring Keir Dullea
