FACING EAST is an examination of family at the crossroads of sexuality and religion. Ruth and Alex McCormick are an upstanding Mormon couple reeling from the suicide of their gay son. The play is set at his gravesite, where the McCormicks encounter their son's partner, Marcus, for the first time. At its core, FACING EAST is a play about healing.
