Story for ELECTRA : Greek National Theatre

Following last year’s electrifying production of The Persians, the National Theatre of Greece returns with a classic drama from Sophocles. This timeless story of wrath and retribution unfolds as Electra mourns the death of her father, murdered as a result of her mother’s betrayal. When her brother Orestes returns seeking vengeance, Electra’s obsession with justice will lead her to a shocking betrayal of her own. Distinguished German director Peter Stein helms this tragic and triumphant tour-de-force.
