Emma Stone is an excellent Sally Bowles

We knew Alan Cumming would be spectacular. He met every expectation. What we didn't expect was Emma Stone to grab our attention. She is truly solid as Sally Bowles. Mr. Cumming and Bowles are surrounded by a talented ensemble who appear genuinely interested in doing justice to this classic musical. The modern staging made the old feel new again, with a delightful emphasis on the theme of "live and let live". Leave the kids at home. We felt slightly uncomfortable with our somewhat mature 12 year old daughter in attendance. Our 16 year old daughter, however, was undaunted by the raunchy "Two Ladies" (performed with Mr. Cumming, a lady and a cross-dressing man) and momentary nudity (naked breast and butt-cheek with swastika on it). Overall, this was an outstanding performance.

Just Fabulous!!!

The ambience in the theater as you walked in you felt as though you were in a Cabaret in the 1940's! Great acting, unique costumes and a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon
