In this contemporary re-telling of Oedipus, a married couple slowly re-discovers the secret they thought they had buried deep within the cavities of their unconscious. BLIND explores the blindness of two individuals but also the blindness of a culture that now must confront its own folly.
Mr. Wright is best known for his plays: The Pavilion and Lady (both at Rattlestick with Drama Desk Nominations for Outstanding Play). He also wrote and produced the television show, Dirty Sexy Money.
Lucie Tiberghien — who previously staged Wright's The Pavilion at the Rattlestick — will direct.
Contains nudity. Not suitable for audiences under age 17.
Featuring: Veanne Cox (Caroline or Change, Paradise Park, 1995’s Company for which she was Tony-nominated) , Seth Numrich (Slipping, The Judgment of Paris), Danielle Slavick(That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play)
