This spring, David Harrower’s astonishing play BLACKBIRD comes to life at Manhattan Theatre Club’s New York City Center Stage I in a thrilling new production that will mark its American premiere.
This powerful, volatile piece begins when Una, a young woman, shows up unexpectedly at the office of Ray, forcing him to come to terms with the effects of their relationship. As the play unfolds, she pulls him into an encounter that is surprising and utterly unforgettable.
Directing is two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Assassins, Wicked) who has assembled a wonderful cast: Jeff Daniels (a Golden Globe nominee for The Squid and the Whale; Three Sisters at MTC), Alison Pill (Pieces of April; a Tony nominee for The Lieutenant of Inishmore).
