Summary

The National Entertainment Fund for the Cultural Arts (NEFCA) and event co-chairs Michael Steinhardt and Lynn Schusterman proudly present the 4th Annual Broadway Purim Shpiel at the Hudson Theatre on Monday, March 17th, 2008 at 7pm. For one night only, stars from Broadway’s biggest hit shows join together for the Broadway Purim Shpiel, a hilarious retelling of the Purim story. All proceeds from the NEFCA event will benefit Taglit-Birthright Israel, an organization dedicated to sending young Jews from across the world to Israel.

This will be the funniest show we have ever produced,” said NEFCA Founder and Executive Director Scott Kluge. “We cast some of the funniest performers in New York, starting with this years new host, Jackie Hoffman and TV star Richard Kind. Every word out of these actor’s mouths will have our audience on the floor in laughter.”

“We also have stars from the Smash hit SPRING AWAKENING,” the Director/Producer added. “Collectively, this could be the most exciting cast we have ever had. I know our fans, who come from all over the country to see the SHPIEL, will be talking about this show for months.” Thanks to the generous underwriting of Michael Steinhardt and Lynn Schusterman, all proceeds from this year’s Broadway Purim Shpiel will go to Taglit-Birthright Israel to help make their dream that it is every.

The performance will be held at the Hudson Theatre at 141 West 44th Street in New York City. The event begins 7PM with complimentary cocktails and light food. The Purim Shpiel kicks off at 8PM, followed by a wine and dessert reception at 930PM.
