About 27 Rue De Fleurus:

27 Rue De Fleurus plays at Urban Stages
259 West 30th Street

Seating chart & directions

27 Rue De Fleurus is a new musical about Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. Paris. 1910 and beyond. Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein cordially invite you to join them as they discuss love, marriage, jealousy, genius and a few other delicious topics while Pablo Picasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mabel Dodge, Sylvia Beach and even Jean Harlow drop by for a visit...all while Alice tries to set the record straight about being Gertrude Stein's "wife" for nearly 40 years. Gertrude grows tired of Alice's lack of panache for telling their story and hijacks the show as only the author of such lines as "sugar is not a vegetable" can. Join us for this hilarious new musical about two brilliant, beloved women and their famous friends.

27 Rue de Fleurus features book and lyrics by Ted Sod (Seattle Rep), music and lyrics by Lisa Koch (Cabaret de Paris), direction by Urban Stages Artistic Director Frances Hill, musical direction by John Bell, and choreography by Jessica Hayden.

Featuring a cast of Broadway regulars and one notable newcomer: Sarah Chalfy (Annapolis Symphony, Baltimore Opera), Susan Haefner (Thoroughly Modern Millie, 42nd Street, Damn Yankees), Barbara Rosenblat (Talk Radio, The Secret Garden), Cheryl Stern (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Women), and Emily Zacharias (Jekyll & Hyde, Social Security).
