The Best Show in London! Review by: Rosie, Mar 8, 2009 |
| An absolutely excellent production. Two outstanding actors' bring the show to life. Very eerie, defnitely the best show I have ever seen. I would advise everyone to see The Woman In Black! Everything about it is truly outstanding. |

Support London theatre but don't believe all the reviews Review by: KB, Jul 7, 2008 |
I attended the London performance on July 5th, 2008 with my teenage daughter. We sat close to the stage in the stalls - seats C1 & C2. While the acting is wonderful, this play did not leave me feeling frightened, full of tension/suspence... as all the hype suggests. Going in, you are full of anticipation and a bit nervous that you will be one of the ones who (supposedly)lets out a scream & wonder if you will be fearful ... read more to sleep without a light on/with nightmares ensuing - as the reviews suggest. Without giving much away, all I can tell you is that my daughter & I (who both are avid theatre go-ers & who like a suspenseful, psychological drama) just looked at each other once the play ended in sheer disapointment. A total let down. I wasn't expecting flashy stage effects, as I believe a lot more can be accomplished with the mind - but this just didn't do it for me. I suspect it didn't for those in the seats around us as a fellow audience member made a comment during the play that practically had us sniggering. Don't spend your money getting the most expensive tickets for a stall seat if you do go. By all means, support the theatre of London, but don't believe all the hype of what this play promises.

Show stopping! Review by: , Sep 18, 2007 |
Wow! What a performance- This show makes you aware of your own imagination and with simple props, propels you into a world of wonder, humour and being a little terrified! A well thought out play and such good entertainment, value for money too! Defiantly a must see. |

the woman in black - amazing yet terrifying Review by: drama_queen_avni, Jun 21, 2007 |
when i first heard about the woman in black, it sounded mildly interesting. my friends had seen it and told me it was terrifying. i laughed sceptically, yet intrigued by how anyone could be scared by a play. i went to see it with my drama department at school, and it was true: i had never in my life seen anything more terrifying! i screamed so much and at one point cried, i was that terrified! i think my screams went well with the ... read more on-stage special effects! however, it was an amazing play and i am looking forward to seeing it again next year as we are studying it for GCSE drama. |

Women In black - Top Show Review by: Lucyloo, Dec 29, 2006 |
excellent show. One to see. This is not a musical so dont go with the kids expecting a song and dance. The 2 main charecters are fantastic with their superb acting, your imagination and a little sonds effects it gets your heart really pumping. Its also a bit scary - I went with my mum and was diving into her lap at the end - and the guy behind me was doing the same thing!!
