Wonderful play Review by: Marty, Feb 3, 2008 |
I have seen Phantom of the Opera twice so far. Once in Fort Myers, Florida with a traveling production, the second time on Broadway. Now I am thinking of seeing it on the London Stage. Surprisingly the Florida production was better than Broadway. On Broaday I heard a Briish accent with a bit of New York mixed in, which made my ears curl! The music, costumes, and sets are all amazing, truly breathtaking. A must see more than once! |

Having seen the show two times, I would still go back and see it again. Review by: , Dec 9, 2007 |
The title role (Played by Ramin Karimloo) is played with such passion and emotion. Mr. Karimloo is great enough to be mentioned alongside such other great phantom's as Michael Crawford, Colm Wilkinson & John Owen- Jones. Having seen the show two times, I would still go back and see it again.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's stage musical of The Phantom is his best work. It is a great 5/5 romantic musical. The emotion that is put into the ... read more show keeps your eyes stook to the stage. You get sucked in to the show. The show is very well wrtitten and it flows from piece to piece.
Magnificent triumph. |

I don't agree, it is a wonderful show!! Review by: Helen, Sep 12, 2006 |
| Well, I for one do not agree that it was boring. I have seen Phantom Of The Opera three times over the years, and it still has not worn out its charm. Just think of those beautiful songs - "Music of the NIght", "Phantom of the Opera", and "All I Ask Of You". The world would be a much drearier place without them. |

They say it's a classic, I say it's a bore! Review by: JoeBR, Sep 12, 2006 |
I went to see the Phantom of the Opera since I'd heard about it so many times, but to tell the truth I was kind of disappointed. My wife loved it, with tears and all. I though it was too long and they could have taken out most of the middle (the part with the boat and the fog). Maybe we were sitting too high up. I think maybe if you are in the middle you feel the effect more. SOme of the songs were familiar, but the plot was a little too ... read more slow and scrambled for me. If you do go get a good seat up front. Good thing the seats were on discount! |

Mmmm....o-k Review by: Jo, Aug 28, 2006 |
| Not as great as it used to be...but still made me cry. Only go if you know your party enjoys theatre- othewise you might find one of them snoozing by the middle of the first act. Don't expect the movie- they are two different enteties. |

All around AMAZING! Review by: , Aug 28, 2006 |
I am 17 years old and have now seen Phantom three times, and have already scheduled a forth time to see it. The music is so captivating! I saw Howard Mcgillan as the phantom twice, and hes absolutly spectacular. the last time i went there was a sub phantom (peter lockyer), and when I found out I got so upset, but he then ended up being amazing as well! Rebecca pitcher (Christine) and Micael Shawn Lewis (Raoul) are also very well at singing.... read more.
The acting, the costumes, the singing, the music; all of it is just breath taking. This play is for all ages. I know a 5 year old who LOVES it, and me 83 year old grandmother was entralled by the proformance. Its perfect for friends, family, adults, and children.
I have seen wicked as well, andi have to say i enjoyed phantom much more! |
