Monty Review by: , Mar 10, 2008 |
Saw this in New York using a discount voucher from Broadwaybox (well worth it as better discount than local places). It was excellent, very funny, I was laughing all the way through, loved the bit about Finland at the beginning as I had realised they had got it wrong. If you don't like Monty Python don't go as it is classic Monty Python and was brilliant. Being in America alot of the jokes went over the locals heads, so I felt like I laughed ... read more alone a lot of the time, but I enjoyed it even when they didn't get the joke. Clay Aiken was the star of the show, but everyone did an outstanding job. DON'T MISS THIS SHOW, WELL WORTH IT. |

Review by: Rentawitch, Oct 18, 2006 |
I was lucky enough to get the only two Return for the second night of previews.
This show has everything you would expect from Python and even Spam sandwiches offered as a snack! Some of the songs really take the mick out of the whole musical theatre genre and we have truly insulting Frenchmen, a camp Sir Lancelot, (he loves to dancealot - groan) an amazing Lady of the Lake in Hannah Waddington and Tim Curry is as always, splendid. I ... read more went all the way home whistling always look on the bright side of life with my killer rabbit glove puppet. Went back last night and took photos of the stars arriving for the Gala Evening. |

Well worth going to see Review by: MonicaB, Oct 15, 2006 |
| I went to see this on Sat 14th in the afternoon. Loved the Palace theatre, though the drinks were stupidly dear!! The show was fantastic, I think you just did not know what was going to happen next!! It just got funnier and funnier, and at the finale? well, my lips are sealed, but you must go see it. Colour, music, just a great show for all the family. |

Below average borefest Review by: Papalaz, Oct 9, 2006 |
Saw the show in London last night (8 October) and thought it was pretty lame. Couple of amusing moments but nothing which had me rolling in the aisles. Should have stuck to the DVD.

Not to be missed Review by: Gayleen L, Oct 3, 2006 |
| I saw this in Chicago and New York and I am looking forward to seeing it in London. The writing is wonderful, hilarious and definitely Python. The music will linger in your ears long after the show is over. I dare anyone to see this show and not end up buying the soundtrack. Tim Curry is amazing. What a talented actor he is. If you have any fondness for Monty Python, this show is an absolute must see. |

Go and watch Spamalot Review by: emmylou115, Sep 30, 2006 |
| I saw Spamalot on the opening night at London's West End. It was such a good show, I was laughing the whole time. I would go and see it again!! It doesn't matter if you haven't seen the film, although it does help. If you are thinking of going, you should definitely give it a go, you won't be disapointed. Recommended!!! You even get offered Spam sandwichs before the show and at the interval. |

Saw it in new York, can't wait to see it in London! Review by: Carol S., Sep 12, 2006 |
I saw this show in New York recently, and I loved it! I'd seen the movie but my husband hadn't and he also had a great time. The effects were spectacular (think flying cows) and the Finnish part in the beginning was also funny (A tip , when you read the program look for the part about Finland transforming from an agrarian society etc., it is hilarious, a friend of mine who saw it missed it completely). We sat up in the balcony, and even ... read more from the side we had a great view. We're coming to London in a few months, and we will definitely go to see it again it's "natural environment". p.s. beware the clapping coconuts, they are addictive! Carol |
