| I have seen this production 53 times now at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and it never fails to please me. From the magical vanishing of Bilbo in the opening act to the upsetting and warm hearted acting of the farewells in the closing - this is truly a theatrical mnasterpiece and "jewel among" west end production - make sure you catch the show befores its season closing on the 19th July - it is surely going to be a fabulous exit with a strong 2nd ... read more cast including the sensational Abbie Osmon and James Byng delivering standing ovation performances of 'road goes on' , 'lothlorien' and 'wonder.' |

Amazing Review by: poppy, May 21, 2008 |
This play far exceeded expectation. The props and effects were fantastic! I did think that the acting was somewhat lacking but in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the play and would highly recommend it. ** Must say that if you did not watch the actual Lord of the Rings show, you might be quite los. |

We did the dinner/theatre deal on Saturday, Nov. 17th. The dinner at Christopher's was great and the show was wonderful. It was a good value, especially with the current exchange rate.
I loved this show. We saw Billy Elliot on Thursday, and I must say that my husband and I both much preferred this show. The set was amazing, the performers were wonderful, and they made the story new again. The songs were extremely well performed ... read more (the women's chorus sounded angelic), but not memorable. I would compare this show with Wicked in production quality. Don't miss this! |

WOW ! Review by: Tourist, Sep 17, 2007 |
Absolutely overwhelming experience. Do not listen to the narrow minded critics. I do not want "creativity" in clasic adaptation of a great story. This show did for the theater just what the Imax done for the cinema.

A very positive surprise! Review by: Anne, Jul 16, 2007 |
| I had not expected much at all, got a discounted ticket. What a positive surprise! The staging is breathtaking. The story really feels larger than life. The music was powerful (if scarce). Especially children seemed to really love this. The experience stayed with me for days. |
