DOUBT A PARABLE Review by: Aramsplays, Mar 30, 2010 |
| This was a compelling play. The head sister had a very hard-headed approach to life, but if she let you in, she opened up to be a more relatable woman. Is there a hero in this well-written play by John Patrick Shanley? You never completely put your finger on who is right and who is wrong. You could find qualities of an aspiring hero in both Sister Aloysius and Father Flynn. This is a play that you could see or read multiple times, and your ... read more opinion on the outcome ccould change everytime. I commend John Patrick Shanley for taking the risk to explore such a controversial topic and for opening the doors of discussion. The point of the play was made stronger because the author did not bias his opinion toward one character over another. |
