| I saw this show last month with my 13 year old daughter and we found it fantastic! She went home singing all the tunes and has now downloded them onto her i pod!! |

| I thought that the show was so great that I went to see it twice in the space of 4 days! OK, so it might not be a 'classic', it might not be the best acting you've ever seen or the best plot as it is just ripped off Romeo and Juliet/West Side Story, but it is soooo much fun! The choreography was amazing, as was the singing. I am into gospel, soul, jazz, and hip hop so it was perfect for me and if you enjoy those types of music then it will ... read more probably be for you too! Lastly I think that the way that they used the stage and the set was with a lot of imagination and it was entertaining in itself with all the bright colours. |

| Went to see Daddy Cool with some girl friends and we absolutley loved it .We sat in the royal circle and had a great view. Once the music started it was very difficult not to sing along or want to move to the music. The band/orchestra were brillant. We were surprised with every song and scence all the dancers, stage and colours are absolutely brilliant !! Want to go again. |

| Finally managed to see Daddy Cool last night on a cold Tuesday night in London.Mixed audience (looked like a large group ?of German or Scandavian teenages !) who clapped,sang and showed their support throughout the performance. Don't want to give the plot away (actually the story is pretty thin !) but was pleasantly suprised by the production. Thought the chroregraphy was excellent (lets hope it gets nominated for a Oliver award !) the musical ... read more production also fantastic (though had the speakers in the next box !!!) Loved the arrangement of Take The Heat and Steppenwolf. Stand outs for me Melaine La Barrie for I Can't Stand The Rain (what a voice !) Michelle Collins treatment of Got A Man On My Mind (this girl can sing and act in a part she was born to play !) and the finale (which I won't spoil) very clever costume touches to us Boney M fans ! Very young crew most making their West End debut.Will it be a hit If it's selling out Thurs/Fri/Sat yes ! I'm going to see it again with another group to get their opinion Is it worth your money Yes ! Very different for the West End and appeals to a huge cross section of the population How many people know all the words to Brown Girl... millions ! Go and enjoy ! |

Quite terrible.
Imagine a really bad episode of Top of the Pops, then a couple of scenes from Eastenders with awful amateur acting thrown in. Any Boney M music is sidelined in favour of rap songs
- In fact apart from the title I dont see what this has to do with Boney M music
I got free tickets and I felt like asking for my money back! |

I went to see this show tonight, with very low expectations, having read several reviews, I had resigned myself to an evening of misery. How wrong could I have been?
The cast and musicians were excellent, the dancing, amazing. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time, although the story left a little to be desired, this was made up for in the songs and the atmosphere.
There was the odd mistake here and there which only added ... read more to our enjoyment, Michelle Collins walking into a wall by mistake when she was aiming for the door 2 feet to her left has to be one of the funniest things I have seen on a west end stage for a long time, even if it wasnt supposed to happen. The parrot bit was a little strange, but I think it was supposed to represent the notting hill carnival, so, I can kind of see what it was for.
All in all, a throuughly enjoyable evening. |

I really enjoyed the show. It is a bit slow to start with
but builds and builds to a great end.
Don't understand the parrot bit?
There is very good use of effects to give that wow factor.
Lighting was excellent the only complaint would be the fan
noise from the moving lights when the tempo goes down.
Band and music excellent,liked that the keyboard sounds matched the time.

forget the rubbish reviews that some have given this show!
Go and make your own mind up, we did (15 of us went) and we loved it.
we went in not expecting much but were blown away by the set, the songs, the acting and the staff.
we will be going again to sing and dance the night away this weekend.. |

Just come back from seeing this very well produced show with my 15 year old daughter
I ts true to say that this show will not appeal to everyone, but it succeeds ,not only because so many of the songs have that infectious feel about them that you cant help but sing along either out loud (as many of the audience did especially towards the end) but even those of us who almost 20 years ago perhaps wouldnt admit to actually liking ... read more Boney M seeing and hearing those same songs performed on stage by a very energetic cast who you could tell actually had so much fun performing them made you enjoy them as well ....and even if Rivers of Babylon may have suffered from overkill when it was first released as a record ... seeing it performed here in the eyes of this reviewer made it actually fun ! For an enjoyable light hearted good night out I thoroughly recommend it On a final note the sets were just amazing although I expected a little more from the giant parrot ! |

| Daddy Cool was soooooooo good. I went with my friends and really enjoyed it. Go in with an open mind...and don't be comparing it to all the other long running musicals because it's not the same. The script is typical but the dancing and music overrides it because it's just filled with so much energy. Harvey, Javine and Michelle Collins were alright, but don't play the lead roles like we are led to believe.....the other members of the ... read more cast are a lot better, but I don't think I would have watched it if they weren't in it. |

| The most fun musical I've seen in a while and I go to the theatre a lot. I am not ususally a big fan of modern musicals or this type of music. A lot of the broadsheet newspapers have not reviewed this show in a particularly good light or have given it only an average rating. I think that's down to snobbery personally and taking it all far too seriously. Everyone was dancing and singing in the aisles at the end of the show. Friends that have been ... read more to see it on my recommendation have said exactly the same thing. As with most musicals, the storyline isn't that great or original but so what, the music and energy of the performers make up for that. The beatbox and rapping parts work well and are in context with the characters. I hope some negative criticism is not going to ensure that this show suffers the fate of many others in closing early on the say so of a few. Listen to the people who have paid the money and seen the show. Personally, I can't wait to see it again. |

I recently saw a preview of Daddy Cool.
The acting was good, however some of the characters seemed pointless. While Javine was good, her character was pointless, the same can be said for Harvey.. Both of these actors were hyped to bring in a younger audience, however neither of them delivered, mainly due to the poor story as their vocals were good!
The music however is good (if you like Boney M and Farian tracks ... read more like that)
The sets were surprisingly good, looks like more effort was put into them than the script!
Would I reccomend that you go!? Well, if you get cheap tickets (like I did) then it is OK for a night out, but dont pay more then £20 for it, or else you will be dissappointed! |
