| My boyfriend and I went to watch an audience with the mafia.. having not read the reviews, we got pushed into going. It was awfall, i fell asleep after 10 minutes, then my boyfriend woke me up at the interval to leave, i thought "thank go for that" also swearing were all the couples coming out saying"this was like a documenatry not bloody theatre" So wouldn't recommend anybody going to see it... A bumch of rubbish and a waste of money seeing 2 ... read more characters for an hour preaching about nothing! |

Diabolical!!!
I wouldn't listen to the 'Mercy Man' if he was telling me the meaning of life.
His accent kept slipping, he knew nothing about acting or stage presence. Some of his 'knowledge' was more conjecture on his part. An absolute waste of time for myself, and anyone involved in it.
The director must have been the same guy, because it was just as sloppy. The TV screens weren't well suited to anyone above the stalls.
The ONLY ... read more redeeming feature was the actress - she knew what she was on about. Let's just hope she leaves this off her CV. |

Its hard to excuse this show really..to think people might have paid £40 for this is shocking!! The list of negative points is long..stumbling on lines, the accent?!, wooden acting, the lighting going wrong, slide show skipping forward at wrong point, music mess ups..
The boredom of the main actor and slackness of the peoole running this show was plain for all to see.

the show was good the man had alot of knowlage but just wasnt so skillfull on his acting.
nicole Faraday who played the actress was very good and made the play worth seeing.
she carried of the accents well and sung beautifuly too
so i enjoyed it :)

The day after seeing this show I am still wondering why oh why I went and furthermore why I sat through the second act!
Although the set design was amazing, it was little more than two hour presentation of slides commentated by The Mercy Man. Perhaps if this actor (and it hurts me to call him that) had any ability to characterise the many mafioso he says he is playing it would have been a more entertaining night.
Besides the set design,... read more, this show belongs in a university theatre and should not be in a pricey West End theatre.
My advice- don't bother.

We are not really theatre people but just a bunch of
pals out for the night and that is how we found ourselves
watching the Audience With The Mafia.
What a great treat.Loved it totally and it taught us a lot too.
Entertainment is what it is all about and this fitted our requirements perfect.
Great Idea very well presented. Very much recommended. |

| The only reason we didn't walk out of this show was because we wanted to see if the second half was as poor as the first half - we couldn't believe it would be, but it was. The show didn't work as theatre - the computer slide show broke down in the second half - or as a history lecture on the Mafia - no wider context given or consequences for America on it's criminalisation -and the delivery was very boring and monotonous. | I was kept interested and alert by the topic. It seems that people either love or hate it, but for me it was great. I would recommend this for anyone who has an interest in how the mafia lived in the USA. |

A theatre production that at last educates and provides
a good night out with a different slant on this most
fascinating subject.We all loved it. Guess it is not for
everyone but the we don't like revivals or musicals.
This is an original fresh show for the people .Go see
