Wintuk - the kids loved it. Review by: Monty, Sep 25, 2011 |
| I bought tickets for 5 children ages 4-7, who were all cousins. They loved it. The oldest child became restless for a short while but then some action on stage recaptured his attention. The slow flakes at the end were a big hit for the kids. Not sure why so many people were disappointed. My only complaint is that the price of the tickets is very high. But Broadway is even more expensive. |

A huge waste of money and time! Review by: julesNY, Dec 27, 2010 |
| This is by far one of the worst shows I've seen. Cirque du Soleil seem to have lost all interest in entertaining their audience and are just going for the money. Most of the performance consists of people meandering pointlessly around the stage, with the occasional juggler, tightrope walker or balancing act (and I mean in the singular) being watched by everyone else stood around on stage. Really, really dreadful. |

Review by: goofy, Dec 6, 2010 |
| It was only okay. We saw it at the Madison Square Garden Theater which isn't really the best venue for a show like this, if anyone large sat in front of you or your child you couldn't see a thing because the seating isn't stadium style seating. This was our first CDS and I found it disappointing. There really wasn't much of a story and most of the stunts were way too long (jumping rope for what seemed like 10 minutes) not necessary! I ... read more wouldn't recommend this to someone unless they are easily amused. |

Very Disappointed Review by: Chele, Nov 30, 2010 |
| I've seen many other Cirque shows and loved them! They are nothing short of moving and magical. Wintuk is NOT! I was extremely disappointed. None of the magic was there, no story line, and the acting horrible. Stunts, though performed well as usual, were not astounding or challenging like in other shows. Madison Square Garden is NOT the place for a Cirque show. I don't know what they were thinking. Such a let down and big waste of almost 400 ... read more smackaroos! |

A MUST SEE Review by: luis, Jun 29, 2010 |
| I had never heard of wintuk so i went in not knowing what to expect. The performance was truly amazing! I enjoyed every second of it. If you're a stubborn adult, most likely you're not going to enjoy the show. But if you're open-minded you will truly enjoy the show. I saw it at madison square and the arena was perfect for it. Try to get the tickets at a discount. |

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Review by: Steve, Jan 6, 2010 |
This was my 7th Cirque du Soleil. The worst by far. It is almost unfair to compare it to other one. The music was painful, the stunts average, the story DEADLY. It forced myself to stay as I paid 115 USD per ticket... hoping it would get better. I bought the ticket without even hesitating as I had a high level of trust for Cirque Du Soleil. From now on I will check critics. BIG MISTAKE from CDS.

| I actually paid full price for tickets. My God dont waste your money. Gotta be one of the worst shows Ive ever seen. I actually stayed for the whole show hoping it was going to get better but it didnt. The show doesnt even make any sense. Its about a boy that wants it to snow for Christmas but then you have these dancing dogs, street lamps singing, giant herons just walking around the stage. Your better off walking the streets of Manhattan and ... read more watching a street prefomer and giving him a few dollors instead. You'll probably get a better show. This was terrible a waste of money. I should of read the reviews before purchasing I hope you did. |

| I managed to get these tickets at a discounted rate, I pity the people who paid full price. We left at intermission. Having seen Ka and O (which we loved), we didn't set our expecations too high, given the size of the theater, but what was delivered was akin to something you'd see at a local carnival. Let me sum up Act One: Backflips and Tennis Ball juggling. If your idea of entertainment is a couple of cheap parlor tricks then you'll love ... read more Wintuk. Comedy bits recieved stone silence from the audience...this production was just a train wreck from start to end. All the kids who sat around us looked bored and listless- so imagine how the adults appeared. We left at intermission because we just couldn't take it. Keep in mind, I've been attending theater productions on and off broadway for over 20 years- and NEVER left a show before the end...this was the first. |

disappointing Review by: , Dec 9, 2009 |
This show was terrible, I have seen high school performances that are better..Very disappointing.... The stunts were fabulous, but the idea of trying to make it into a show with a plot was a really bad idea.. They should try and stick to what they do best!

Entertaining but mostly for kids Review by: Mabuhay, Nov 29, 2009 |
| As per other comments, good but not great. It missed something. I also didn't like the atmosphere of the theatre and don' t think it's the best venue for the show. Would recommend only for small kids. Cirque du Soleil could do much better... |

Magical! Review by: mamaNYC, Sep 20, 2009 |
| I went to see the show last year with my 8 year-old, my best friend and her two kids visiting from California who have never seen snow: which was absolutely magical! The characters are very cute and funny (my girl loved the puppet!) - I definitely recommend it to all of my friends! |

I'm soooo glad... Review by: FrankieG, Nov 21, 2008 |
I am soooo glad I didn't take these other reviews seriously. I have no idea what these other people are looking for and unfortunately they didn't find it. As for me, my wife and I absolutely loved the show. Although it started a bit slow for me, I was totally engulfed in the performance and the snow brought smiles to everyone in the audiance. These people aren't actors, they are true performers. This is a don't miss show. Bring the ... read more kids, bring mom and dad, bring your significent other or if you have to, go alone. OK Review by: Terry, Nov 7, 2008 |
Not your typical Cirque Du Soleil show, more like Cirque meets the circus, but you have to admire the athletic prowess of these performers. I enjoyed it, did not love it, and for me, once you've seen a Cirque show they pretty much are the same, even The Beatles Cirque show- thank goodness for the music. The theatre does inhibit the type of acrobatics they perform, but I would still recommend if you get discount tickets |

Review by: Angela, Nov 6, 2008 |
| I've seen other cirq shows and have to agree with the other comments, not one of their best. I've seen the ones in Vegas and those took my breath away. This one is more entertaining for kids 13 and under. However, the best part of the show was the ending when it came down with the pretend snow. I also think that had the theater been bigger they could have done a much better job with the tumbling and acrobatic stunts. I think ... read more that their space was a bit limited which may be why it was not as impressionable as other circq shows. But do recommend to see it and bring the kids -- they will definitely love the music, and most especially the dancing dogs. |
