Jacob Sterling Does It Again... Review by: , Nov 22, 2008 |
| Caught the show Wednesday, 11.15.08 at New World with an acting buddy of mine. Front row center for $25 a piece. Thoroughly enjoyed the show - 75 minutes of hilarity and hummable tunes that will leave you cheering, jeering, teary-eyed (from laughter) and all-around happy-go-lucky. Jacob Sterling, if ever he were alive and well, would make for one heckova personality, and I'm beyond thankful that Mr. David Pittu (whom conceived and wrote the ... read more piece) also stars in it and delivers a must-see performance. Bring yourself to book a seat and revel in the genius that is JACOB STERLING! |

Love this small gem of a show. Review by: Mister Me, Nov 8, 2008 |
| This is a gut-busting tribute and slap in the face to the musical theatre. The deliciously awful songs will have you rolling in the aisles. But the amazing performances of David Pittu and Peter Bartlett are the reason to go. I can imagine that some would find the show a bit too inside, but true musical theatre lovers shouldn't miss this treat. |

What's that Show Really About? Review by: LD, Nov 4, 2008 |
Not sure what this show is really about, although David Pittu is a talented singer and actor. This is his baby from start to finish as he wrote it, directs and stars in it. A tongue-in-cheek, satiric review of Broadway shows featuring the music and lyrics of the fictional Jacob Sterling. Jacob is the gay Jewish not-quite gifted enough composer who is not-quite ready for Broadway. Several snoozers in the Saturday Matinee audience.
