A Painful Experience

UGH! This was absolutely the worst show I have ever endured. The acting was terrible, the music was awful, the establishment (Sofia's in NYC) was dirty, and the food would have been turned away from a soup kitchen.
Save yourself - there are a lot better ways to spend $87 in New York that on this awful show.

I took 5 family members with me and I lied to 4 of them saying it was a client of mine getting married. The weird thing is I never approached the actors to ask them to lie, and the usher came up to me and talked to me as if he knew me forever which made this lie believeable. The groom hugged me saying he was so happy making this lie even more believeable and the mother of the groom talked with me all night. My son age 7,danced with the bride and ... read more stripper. This whole thing was great because my cousin never wants to go to shows. Though she likes weddings. So I lied. She had a blast till she found out at the end it was a lie. My son didn't speak to me for a day because he was embarased that he got so into this show thinking it was real. But they had such a great time I took pictures. The food was ok, salad, pasta, bread, a little wine and cake. And we have a memory that lasts a lifetime. I think it's better to go in groups to see this. By the way, my cousin's daughter who also came with us, went with a bunch of friends a month later and told her boyfriend it was a real wedding. He believed it and interacted with the actors so much he bonded with them, and almost got into a fist fight defending the actors. That's when she had to stop him to tell the truth. He was so furious! Hahaha! We still laugh about it.

Good show for lots of laughs

Loved the show! We went with a group of six and we laughed so hard our sides were aching. We got right into the show and some of us participated, which always makes you roar. Bring a group, you'll love it too!!! Food was good, but you get a small amount. Eat before you go!

We had a group of 9 gals for a bachelorette party. We were extremely disappointed in this show. We paid for VIP and got $3.00 bottle of Andre champagne. The food was scarce and not very good. We also thought they would do more for the bride-to-be and they didn't acknowledge them at all. It is in a basement of a building. Very crammed.

Went to see this with 3 other friends expecting a fun nights entertainment with dinner included- was sadly dissappointed. The food was rubbish, measly salad, cheap pasta in sauce, tiny glass of "champagne". The acting was terrible too and the whole thing was only an an hour and a half long, including the wedding ceremany which lasted 10 minutes and wasn't funny. For almost $100, this is the biggest rip-off in NYC.

It had the potential to be a good interactive show. The time mingling with the actors was great. Then it went downhill from there. It had no story. Nothing that funny really happened. The wedding dinner was laughable. It was not a meal for a wedding but maybe for prison. We ended up leaving it got so bad. Don't spend the money on this one but save it to see a real show.

I was very disappointed that I had paid that much,cash and time,for this. Food was less than fair, small servings of salad, pasta(no meat), bread, cake and only one glass of champagne to drink. If you wanted anything else, even water, you had to buy it. They even served us the top of the wedding cake with absolutely nothing to eat it with. The first hour was OK but after that it was just a bunch of drunk people, one showing her back side ... read more in her see through panties. I'm not a prude nor a teetotaler but I did not enjoy this.

This was enjoyable evening. I attended with 4 friends. We laughed all evening. It is truly a spoff of Italians. IT was fun, many aspects believable, different, well worth the time. It is excellent. I have been there three times since early May. The cast is great they make you feel just like family. There is no other show that can make you feel this way. I cannot wait to go again DAWN

A Great Time

Loads of fun. I know this show has been around for ever, but now I know why. We went with a group of about 8 people and from the moment we approached the theater the fun began. At times, it is hard to tell who is "in" the show and who is in the audience! Got discount tickets through BroadwayBox and the show even includes a pretty good Italian dinner. Highly suggest going!
