No where close to as good as the movie... Review by: Adam, Feb 29, 2008 |
| I just saw this in Kansas City at the Music Hall. While I didn't know what to expect, I thought that it would have some of the same humor as the movie, and some of the great music that really made the movie. I was greatly disappointed that only 2 songs (Sandler and Herlihy's songs) made it to the musical. The original scores performed by the cast, were made to sound a little like the real 80's songs, but would take their own spin on it. ... read more I love "Love Stinks", but they replaced it with their own, "Casualty of Love". Then also changed, "Do you Really want to hurt me." to some sort of Barmitzfa song that really wasn't good. Bottom line... If you haven't seen the movie, you will enjoy the musical. If you HAVE seen the movie, go in with NO expectations. |
