| We read the comments about this show before we bought tickets. It would have be nice if anyone would have said 'not appropriate for kids' this SUCKED. Toxic waste has NOTHING to do with global warming and I felt like I piad for a political compaign. The actors are talented, story was awlful and the language unneeded, sexual content average/unneeded. This also ENCOURAGED violence! At the end the avenger tells people to rips leaders heads off if ... read more they pollute!! SUCKED ALL THE WAY AROUND! No wonder people have high anxiety! I called family and urged them NEVER to see this show. Never to waste their hard earned money. |

I was invited to this show and, to be honest, did not really want to see it after a long day. I am a theatre buff and do get to see a lot of shows, but I had no idea what a treat this would be.
Let me tell you, this show knocked me for a loop from the get-go. As I said, I was beat after a long day, but the energy level (and versatility) of the cast was outstanding.
You'll be fully energized from the beginning to the end (note: there is ... read more no intermission).
This show may have some non-pc humor (if you are offended by Helen Keller, or other assorted, 'blind' jokes, stay away), but I thought it was non-stop hilarious.
The most amazing thing is the versatility of the 3 supporting players, who display incredible talent and range, as do the leads.
If you are looking for a jolt of pure, unadulterated fun and joy, you really can't go wrong with this show. I was very glad to have gone.

This show was funny on many levels. Physical humor, funny songs, and good jokes carried out by a talented, energetic cast. I was impressed by the great acting and singing. Certainly a fun night out.
I would warn parents though that the language sometimes is well beyond PG, and some blatant sexual humor is used. Although very funny for adults and older teens, this is no Disney performance. Little kids may even find some parts scary. |

I bought tickets based on all the solid reviews here, yet wondering a bit how people could love a campy musical about a mutant superhero from New Jersey. Well, turns out all of the reviewers here are right. You CAN love a campy musical about a mutant superhero from New Jersey! This is a really funny, engaging, well-acted show. Very funny, but yet.....at the same time, I keep seeing this one eyeball loOking at me. (That is why I checked "couldn't sleep that night" on my review list here.)
If you like surprises, and you are in need of a laugh - GO SEE THE TOXIC AVENGER!
If you do not laugh, you've been in NJ way too long.
I loved each and every character.

| The entire cast is brilliant (especially the African-American guy and the blind girl!), and all of them put on a damn good show for such a small stage. The costume changes were hilarious and well done. A special mention for the band who sounded spot on all night! I would definitely see again after it officially opens. |
