Powerful theater Review by: fashionista, Oct 21, 2010 |
A wonderful show. It's a story that needs to be told and it is told in a highly theatrical, entertaining way. Music is great and all the performers are terrific. Powerful. Moving. A must see. |

Excellent Show Review by: Carol, Oct 21, 2010 |
| This is a blockbuster musical written by Kander and Ebb about an incident that took place in Alabama in the 1930s. It is told as a minstrel show, long out of politically correct format by extremely talented cast headed by Colman Domingo, Forrest McClendon, and Joshua Henry. John Cullum, the only white person in the play represents the established power. The story is fascinating, and the dance numbers, directed and choreographed by Susan ... read more Stroman are lively and evocative. Although there is a bare minimum of scenery, the silver chairs the actors use imaginatively fill out the story of men on a train and in prison. |
