SPECTACULAR ENTERTAINMENT WITH AN OVER THE TOP ENSEMBLE Review by: aunt ME, Jun 4, 2006 |
I JUST SAW THE SHOW THIS AFTERNOON. IT WAS A JOY FROM BEGINNING TO END. THIS IS WHAT BROADWAY WAS MEANT TO BE. SUPERIOR ENTERTAINT. EVERYONE IN THE CAST WAS PHENOMENAL. THE MESHING OF THE ENTIRE ENSEMBLE WAS PURE CHEMISTRY. HARRY CONNICK JR. IS SO ADORABLE , SEXY, AND OVER-THE-TOP TALENTED. I SAW KELLI O'HARA IN "THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA" WHEN IT FIRST OPENED UP. SHE WAS GREAT THEN AND EVEN BETTER WITH HARRY IN THIS SHOW. MY ONLY REGRET ... read more IS THAT IT IS AT THE END OF IT'S RUN AND I WILL BE UNABLE TO TAKE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SEE THIS SHOW. I COULD SEE THIS SHOW WITH THIS CAST OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WE NEED A LOT MORE GREAT SHOWS LIKE THIS ON BROADWAY AND AT THE PAPERMILL PLAYHOUSE. I ENJOYED SEEING MANY SHOWS WITH THE ROUND-ABOUT-THEATRE THIS YEAR AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE GREAT THINGS FROM THE ROUND-ABOUT.

| Go see this show! I had seen a prior version of this show in the 80's at City Opera and did not like it.. I was so suprised how great this production was. The cast from the lead to the dancers were all fantastic. The Factory set was amazing. The highlight of the show was the Hernando's Hideaway production number, which to me was one of the best moments ive seen on stage in years! Roundabout has finally produced a great musical. |

Saw "PG" last night and was completely blown away.I can't stop humming and singing the songs. Connick and O'Hara's sexual chemistry was felt throughout the theater, especially in the number, "There Once Was A Man". It was so pleasurable see theater-goers bopping and dancing in their seats as well as mouthing the words.Harry Connick Jr. with his pumped-up upper body was as good as John Rait and Kelly O'Hara can certainly stand up to Janis Page ... read more and Doris Day. | I've been wanting to see this show since the sixties when I bought the original cast album from the 50's production. The show exceded my expectations which were already sky high. It was very evident that the cast was having a ball and the audience reciprocated. Failing to buy our tickets when first advertised, we arrived at 8am Sunday morning to wait for cancellations for the afternoon performance. This show is a classic and should not be missed. |

| This is one of the best musicals I've ever seen, from Harry Connick, Jr. down to the chorus, the cast is top notch, talented, energetic, funny, and vibrant. Harry is ultra sexy and has great chemistry with Kelli O'Hara. I loved every minute of this show and wish I could have gotten another ticket and seen it again. This is one of those shows that I will remember well into my old age. Its just that entertaining. |

| An absolute joy of a show, well performed and filled with music which has endured for 50 years. We see about 20 shows a year and this one is near the top for 2005-2006. Skip the instantly forgettable WICKED and make quick for this restored 42nd Street theater where nothing but fun awaits you. |

| I thought that the show was great. The Roundabout outdid itself with this production. The actors were super and they looked like they were having fun. The audience throughly enjoyed the show. | Harry Connick Jr...well..need I say more. He was perfect. The supporting cast also was just great. The only comment I would make is that Babe could have been cast with someone more believeable. The actress had a lovely voice and could act but much too refined to believe that she worked in a pajama factory. |
