One of the best plays I've seen in years Review by: RandiTina, Feb 24, 2013 |
| I saw the show with my husband last Wednesday evening and it's still resonating with us. It's incredibly moving and one of the best plays I've seen in years. If you were fortunate enough to see "From Up Here" and liked that play, I think you'd appreciate "The Other Place." Everything about it was superb. Everyone I know who's seen it has felt the same. |

Important subject, well done Review by: Legs, Feb 23, 2013 |
| This is a most interesting view of early onset dementia from the perspective of the patient. Laurie Metcalf and Bill Pullman are both excellent as the couple struggling with the the wife's decline. Zoe Perry is also wonderful in her various roles. |

| Excellent performances by all, especially Laurie Metcalf in a new play dealing with the loss of memory. A vivid portrait of dementia from the perspective of the afflicted, rather than caregivers or family. Highly recommended! |

Laurie was great, show was not. Review by: Hairybs, Jan 6, 2013 |
I saw this show last week and it did capture my attention (maybe more so than others since I was in the front row). Laurie Metcalf is great and worthy of being on Broadway, the rest of the cast and the material aren't. While she is completely believable, the rest of the cast looks like they are acting (not good). If you truly want to see her on stage, see the show. If you are going to see a great show, skip it. |

Found the show incredibly boring. Good thing it was only 70 minutes Review by: Nicedoc, Dec 24, 2012 |
| Found the show to be one large snooze feast. I'm sure it was trying to say something but I'm not sure what. Basically the play is Metcaff talking or yelling for 70 minutes( Normally I'd complain about charging Broadway prices for what is essentially a one act 70 minute show( no intermission ) But I think the audience was glad it was over.I give the show a month before closing. |

Don't Give Away Anything About this Show to Your Friends: Just Say "You Must See It!" Review by: Vocal8, Dec 16, 2012 |
From the srart, it is not easy (if at all possible) to see where this show will lead or certainly where it winds up. Using allegory, wit and suspense, it is more than a mystery in that all the pieces eventually join together. As a woman facing several domestic crises, Laurie Metcalf delivers an utterly magnicificent performance whose nuances are so integral to the story that to elaborate upon those further would warrant a spoiler alert. ... read more She is perfectly complemented by Daniel Stern and both are well-served with superb direction. The single stage set is well-crafted and it too holds secrets of its own. I'll say nothing further than don't miss it!
