| This charming play/opera featured amazing performances from the entire cast and was so simply emotionally touching and charming. It struck a quiet chord that continued with me well after the final bows. Mark Blum and Kellie Overbey deliver naturally poignant performances and the young singers are absolutely spectacular. I have not been so impressed with young talent like this off broadway, or on broadway for that matter, in quite some time. ... read more The nature of the piece and the intelligent combination of art forms is at first somewhat difficult to grasp, but eventually it perfectly captures this wonderful moment between a teacher and student reliving their past. Another unique and brilliant perspective from Wallace Shawn and a marvelous score from his brother, Allen. Catch this lovely play and expect an unconventional night at the theater. |
