The Marvelous Wonderettes were marvelous !!! Review by: Vicky, Apr 13, 2009 |
We saw this show Friday April 10 and it was great. The four gals were wonderful - each sang their hearts out. The music was great and the actresses made it funny. There was only two costume changes but the costumes were fun and cheerful. We definitely recommend this show if you like the music of the 50s and 60s. The actresses will captivate you and win your hearts. It is geared more for adults rather than children - ... read more we had a 12-year old with us and while she had a good time, we could tell it wasn't her speed. You can can excellent prices and seats through Broadway Box - we sat in the second row, center stage. Total show time including a 15 min intermission was 2 hrs 10 minutes. |

Small Show that Hits the Spot Review by: Robin, Mar 24, 2009 |
| I saw the Wondrettes with my 10-y-o daughter. This was her first trip to NYC, and we also saw a Broadway Blockbuster. She and I both LOVED this show and felt that the big expensive one paled by comparison. Sometimes small & simple is the best (a good life lesson for her, too). The 4 actresses are PERFECT in their roles (and the guy from the audience was pretty perfect, too), the singing was excellent, the songs themselves ... read more were great fun and woven into the story in surprisingly creative ways. (Watch for "Mr. Lee.") We're planning another trip & are tempted to see this AGAIN, but will restrain ourselves and broaden our experience. |

A must see for 50s & 60s music fans! Review by: Lisa, Mar 2, 2009 |
What a fantastic show, our group ranged in age from 17-56, male and female and we all loved it, the 50s & 60s music is familiar and popular with all generations and the Wonderettes were really talented. I would recommend this show to anyone and if I'm in New York would definitely go and see it again. |

A-mom and daughter loved it! Review by: A-mom, Jan 19, 2009 |
My teen and I saw the Sunday matinee on January 18th. We loved it! Adorable and sweet, like the pastel frosting on a cupcake. The 4 women are so talented and really get into their characters and they make the show so entertaining. We found this show to be better staged and produced (or over produced) than many of the broadway shows that have recently closed. The show opened up a whole new list of songs my daughter barely heard of ... read more from the 50's and 60's of which we bought the show's CD. If you want to just relax and see a show that's just a nice as can be and entertainig....GO!!!! |

Totally entertaining, a bit interactive Review by: chocolate lover, Jan 3, 2009 |
| This show was a real pleasant surprise! I brought my 11 year old daughter and she and I loved it. I don't know how much my sons would have like it ( a lot of singing.) It was funny and pretty interactive. (My daughter liked that she got to vote for the prom queen on ballots that had been handed out). Definately for women and 50s and 60s music lovers! |

I should have brought my mom to see this. Review by: Jasmin, Dec 5, 2008 |
| I saw this with a friend. We thought it was cute. Like a chic flick. It's good for middle aged to senior women. The singing was great. Very nice costumes from that era. I should have brought my mom to see this. |

Oldies Music Is Alive and Well Review by: Mr. C, Nov 12, 2008 |
Saw the Sunday matinee on 11/9/08 and the theater was cold. The blowers were on bringing in the cold air from the outside. It was uncomfortable. Only go if you can get discount tickets; it was a cute show if you like the music of the 1950's and the 1960's. Having someone go on stage and be part of the show was enjoyed by the audience. Unfortunately there was not much of a story line. It's the type of show that you would expect ... read more to see produced by a college theater group. |

Cute. Light. Fun. Review by: Eileen , Oct 26, 2008 |
| If you like pop music of the 1950's and 1960's, this is for you. There is essentially no plot. It's just a fun excuse for 4 talented girls to sing their hearts out and romp in high school nostalgia. The afternoon was very enjoyable. Probably best for middle-age women but entertaining for all audiences nonetheless. |

Lots of talent Review by: Mary, Sep 17, 2008 |
| There is a lot of talent on stage at this charming smaller theater - the singing, dancing and audience interaction provided a wonderful evening at the theater - I would definitely recommend this show for anyone who is open to having some fun in New York! |

Dreamy! Review by: Lt, Sep 15, 2008 |
| What a JOY! There are sparks flying all over the gym...and the audience is part of the show. Go and find out for yourself. Beth Malone as the tomboy character steals every scene without trying. It's a show about dreams, love, expectations and the how the friends of high school are our best teachers for growth! Roger Bean has created magic! |
