Spectacular. Review by: Elphie, Jun 25, 2007 |
This show was amazing, the set, the music, the actors. All amazing. John Glover [Man in Chair] was absolutely hilarious. My friend and I were actually on the floor laughing so hard! And everyone on the set was so relaxed, I was surprised at how much I loved it.
If you like comedy, know a little bit about Broadway, and want a great evening, see this show. You'll get your money's worth, believe me, I DID! |

DO NOT GO DO NOT GO Review by: scootbu, Jun 1, 2007 |
WORST PLAY I HAVE EVER SEEN. Seriously I was bitting my hand and fantasizing about being back at work. If your a big fan of the humor that made the TV show Friends so popular this show is right up your alley, however if you enjoy intellectual sarcastic humor you wont like it.Seriously I saw better scripted plays in high school, which is a shame because the actors and the voices were great. Not to mention they have a whole song about monkeys ... read more - come on... |

A PERFECT EVENING! Review by: eric, May 1, 2007 |
| This is simply a fabulously brilliant show! The entire ensemble was marvelous, each character reminded me of someone we all once knew. There are moments when you really think you're at a Marx Bros show, it's that funny. And the singing voices of the cast are right on tune. The cast is so experienced - look at their bios. And since there is some voice amplification going on here, you can hear everything clearly from any row or section. ... read more This really made our trip worthwhile. Please see thus before the cast changes. |

Absolutely wonderful! An enjoyable time where the less you know walking in the door, the better time you will have. It was fun! It was fun!

a must see. Review by: goldenboy, Apr 7, 2007 |
As someone who once sat in a chair, listened to a Broadway musical record and danced around the house, this show is a blast from start to finish.
It has a Marx Brothers -SJ Pearlman feel and it amazingly clever from start to finish.
Add to that the entertainment value is non -par. I loved every minute of it and I don't rave about musicals.
For those who yearn for the musical of yesteryear with a tongue in cheek nod ... read more to sad people who like to escape into the "world" of a musical --this is it. Must see This |

GREAT! Review by: purplesteve6, Apr 2, 2007 |
| This show is truly great! It is funny, entertaining, and touching from start to finish. It is the culmination of what enjoying Broadway is all about. I hope history honors the imporance and cleverness of this show. This show needs to run forever simply because anybody who has even a subconscious interest in theatre needs to see it. |

I love this show Review by: david46, Mar 26, 2007 |
| I love this show. I have seen it twice and will be going again. The interplay between the man in the chair and the characters in the play is subtle and very clever. The hommages to vaudeville and dancing of the leading lady -- all great fun. |

Worth the Risk Review by: Mattb703, Mar 23, 2007 |
| I went to the Drowsy Chaperone not knowing what to expect, but left the theatre pleasently surprised. What a great show. Obviously, if you're looking for something moving like Les Mis you won't find it here, but if you are into quirky humor and catchy tunes then this is the show for you. For those who don't find the deeper meaning in the show; you're not looking hard enough. Theatre lovers have all been The Man in the Chair at one point. We've ... read more all wanted to escape our normal "blue" lives and go into our fantasy world. This musical was surprisinly entertaining. Sutton Foster and the rest of the cast are amazing. Go see it before the original cast changes... |
