funny show - I saw it Halloween week... Review by: new yorker, Jan 8, 2011 |
| I don't know if I would have wanted to see it any other time - but is was entertaining on Halloween week. Nathan Lane is very funny; the show is ok if you can pick up same day half price tickets. I don’t recommend paying full price to see it. It's goofy like you would expect. |

Fun show Review by: johnsonf, Jan 2, 2011 |
| I saw this last weekend and enjoyed it very much. The sets are terrific and the puppets are remarkable. I didn't feel I wasted my money at all. However, the music was mediocre and the story wasn't as strong as it could have been. Still, it was worth seeing and I would go again. It's fun to revisit old friends and brought back memories of the old TV show. Fun! |

Not at all funny!!! Review by: rskblueyes, Dec 21, 2010 |
The as the curtain rose, and I heard the familar snapping theme song, I was all smiles. Unfortunetly shortly after the opening number I did not smile or laugh that many times. The book and plot were not amusing. There were a few one liners and sight gags that were cleaver, but overall the humour was dumb! Nathan Lane's accent was very annoying and so phony. All the actors were great in their roles, and everyone had amazing voices ... read more even though the music was bland and forgetable. The staging and sets were wonderfull. This could have been an amazing experience for me if the book wasnt so subpar.

The Addams Family= Best Show of the Year Review by: G, Dec 9, 2010 |
| I saw The Addams Family on 8/27/10 with my family. Finding a show to appeal to everyone is sometimes a challenge, but this show was AMAZING!!! I loved everything from the cast, music, plot, etc. Everything was perfect and the actors made the characters come to life. I truly felt like I was spending a night at a friend's house with their own family! If you're looking for something your whole family can see this is definitely the show for you. ... read more We all walked out of the theatre laughing. I'd actually see it again. We're all still talking about how great it was :) |

One of the best comedic muscial plays I've seen Review by: PENNY, Nov 22, 2010 |
| I first saw the show, I believe, in Aril 2010 and loved it. So much so that I returned to nyc and saw the addams family musical a second time November 18, 2010. The performances and the entire play are even more enjoyable now. It's a showcase for the entire cast of tremendously talented performers. The cast has made some small changes in the play, and has managed to make the show as spontaneous as it was six months ago. Unbelievable stage talent.... read more. Funny, elegant dancing, wonderful music, lovely singing, beautiful sets. Wish Mr. Lane weren't leaving the show or I'd go see the play a third time. He and Ms. Neuwirth complement each other's comedic and dancing talent. The entire cast seems to truly love doing the show, including the child playing the Addams' son, who does a great job, as well. |

GREAT SHOW! Review by: LilyNYC, Nov 18, 2010 |
| It was a good show, funny, entertaining, and definitely worthwhile. I thought the story line couldve had other details or situations rather than focus on mainly one issue. However, it was funny, and the sets and costumes were excellent... I recommend it! |

What a great surprise to be able to spend an afternoon just laughing and watching a cast that seems to thoroughly enjoy themselves. It was magic! Everyone...cast included was ehausted at the end of the first act because we had all laughed so much. It was joyous. Grandma was wonderful and as always Lane and Newerth were fabulous. Uncle was hilarious and could the inlaws dance!!! Queensbury Gal |

| The Adams Family was Great! Go see it. Don't listen to the snobs who are trying to set their idea of Broadway standards for a play. They get so caught up with themselves they forgot how to have fun. This show is fun! Relax and enjoy. |

AN AMAZING PRODUCTION Review by: Heather, Oct 27, 2010 |
| Saw this show last night and we absolutely adored it! Nathan, Bebe in fact all were so well cast and all were brilliant. The special effects are fantastic and it is so wrong that this didn't get any Tony awards. We bought the CD so were familiar with the music and there are some really catchy songs. That is "My Disclosure"! |

This show could have been terrific--the talent, the sets, the costumes..but it wasn't. The story and songs are going in so many different directions that it can't hang together. I felt so sorry for the terrific actors, all of whom do a great job except for the daughter, who insists on starting her performance at "10" and keeping it there. The worst was the incredible waste of Bway veteran Terry Mann, who is given literally nothing to ... read more do for most of the show and then has to endure a ridiculous ending. A Tony nominated actor deserves far better. |

Entertaining, Funny Show Review by: Ed H, Sep 18, 2010 |
| having just seen this show, while it may not be the best musical on Broadway, it wasn't all that bad as the critics set it out to be. Found the show to be very funny and entertaining. Nathan Lane is really good as Gomez, and Bebe Neuwirth is amazing as Morticia. I had front row seats and enjoyed her tango number alot. Kevin Chamberlin and Jackie Hoffman, steal the show by providing alot of laughs and humor. Would definitely see it again, lots of ... read more mindless fun. |
