| Good show. Good acting and music. Brooke Shields was fine but not much of a role. The production is largely Roger Rees (Gomez), Rachel Potter (Wednesday) and Brad Oscar (Uncle Fester). These 3 performances were excellent. Jackie Hoffman (Grandma) was fine but had too many lines and her sarcasm became superfluous. The rest of the performers were also fine. Very simple story but adequate. I thought that the "Full Discolsure" song was a misfit. ... read more "Happy/Sad" and "Pulled" were excellent songs. |

had a good time Review by: ginnys, Jun 30, 2011 |
| I really enjoyed this show and so did my family. We sat high up but you could see really well. I was worried my sons wouldn't get the story seeing as they weren't old enought to even remember the movie, but they had a blast, they liked the story - especially Grandma and the giant squid. The sets were just fabulousand so were the actors-we saw it with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. |

Average show with some highlights Review by: Filmandtheatrebuff, May 6, 2011 |
This is a late review as I still saw it with the full original cast. I must say that this show took so many plot cliches that I couldn't believe it, with the biggest one being a similar plot to the recently revived "La Cage Aux Folles". The show definitely had funny moments, esp. one involving Nathan Lane and a dream about being a goat. The score is very inconsistent and while it can be catchy at times, it is also ... read more very forgettable. Terrence Mann and, to a lesser extent, Carolee Carmello were extremely wasted in their roles. Carmello got to show off her amazing vibrato filled soprano voice for a brief period, but as for Terrence Mann, I wouldn't have even known he was in the show as he was extremely underused of his talents. I can see why audiences love it, but I definitely see why it is not beloved in the theatre world. |

| ummm i honestly dont know what people love so much about this show. im actually surprised it hasnt closed by now.....sorry but its true. its a fun show, and the whole family will love it, but its not a show that i think would last this long on broadway. if you are really in need of a show to see, see this one just to see what all the hype is about. its fun! |

sooo much fun! Review by: Leah, Mar 31, 2011 |
| I saw the show with a group of 20-something year old friends and we had a blast! The production stayed true to the characters but was not a rehashing of the original show and its later movie version. The plot was sweet and heartwarming while still being entertaining and, at times, laugh-out-loud funny. The acting, dancing and music was superb, with great attention to detail. After the show, I was quite surprised to find out that it received such ... read more negative reviews. Yes, the plot was far fetched-but the entire concept of a morbid family with a death-fixation and potions is a bit out there, so what would you expect? It may not be a life-changing experience, but a great choice for a fun night out. |

Second time even better!! Review by: pat, Mar 26, 2011 |
| I'd seen the show and Jan. and loved it. Whereas Nathan Lane was the original draw, he was rather stiff. Roger Rees is perfect as Gomez! He and Bebe have that "spark". A fuuny, fast paced show. The characters of Lurch, Grandma and Uncle Festis are fabulous as well as the leads. ENJOY! |

No Nathan, still fun, three steal show Review by: Diract 66, Mar 2, 2011 |
| Even though Nathan Lane was a no-show at my Friday night performance, this was still a fun show to watch. I do feel disappointed that he did not perform since he is soon leaving the show, and ticket prices are so high. This show is written for him and even the understudy, who has a much better voice, had gestures and looks that you could see were Lanes. Three performances steal the show. They are Jackie Hoffman as Grandma, very funny, Carolee ... read more Carmello as Alice Blickenstaff, puts Bebe's voice to shame, and Kevin Chamberlain as Fester, probably could be a great Gomez. The sets are very impressive in this show. The plot is girl meets boy and takes him home(with his parents) to meet her parents( the Addams). That's about it, we've seen this story and its variations many times. Some of the songs are quite catchy but most are simple and forgettable. 'Full Disclosure' this show will close soon after the principles leave. Probably by summer. See it only on discounts. |

Review by: bayrat, Feb 26, 2011 |
this is a fun show and the laughs keep coming all night. Its not a classical musical in that the the songs are memorable (other than the theme) but the scenery was great, the songs are fun and the acting was wonderful. Its also age appropriate for any age but some jokes may fly over a 10 year olds head. I would see it again on broadway or as a traveling show |

OK-Not great! Review by: CTTheatergoer, Feb 26, 2011 |
| I went to the matinee performance of the Addams Family this past Wednesday, despite some mediocre reviews, as I wanted to see Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. While their performances, as well as the rest of the cast, did not dissapoint me, the show overall was a little lackluster. The show was very funny but I felt the story line and the musical numbers were a little weak. I would certainly recommend this show for a family especially with young ... read more kids who might be seeing a broadway show for the first time. |

Buyers beware, both leads were no show. Review by: Amy W., Feb 13, 2011 |
We were at the 8 pm show on Friday, Feb 11. It was a great disappointment to find out after being seated that both Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth were being substituted by standby and understudy that evening. I usually don't mind too much if one lead is not there, but it is really shortchanging the audience I think to have them miss both leading stars. I thought Nathan Lane is staying on the show till March 6. So buyers beware,... read more, you may not get what you thought you were buying tickets for. This is not a criticism of the performers of the evening, but I have really looked forward to watching these two acclaimined broadway performers. We had a just ok evening at the show. I cannot help but feel that we missed something. |

Go, just for fun Review by: pat, Feb 3, 2011 |
| This is not the type of show that I generally gravitate to. Hoever, with the harshness of this winter, I wanted to just see something light. This show fit the bill, and far exceeded my expectations. It is funny, fast paced, and a darn good time. Beacuse it flew by so quickly, I definately want to see it again in case I missed something! Loved it. |

If you want to laugh! Review by: Caesar, Feb 2, 2011 |
Saw it tonight.. have NEVER laughed so much during any live performance. The first half was hilarious and excellent. The second half does drag in some areas, but over all I would highly recommend this show. The entire cast was great.. Nathan Lane of course is absolutely amazing. Lovely set design, some really catchy songs (and some just average songs) and overall just a fun time. Great family show. |

Hilarious! Very well done! Review by: Becky8908, Jan 28, 2011 |
| Great show! All the characters are completly like the movie. I loved Uncle Fester and Wednesday! The boyfriends parents were hilarious! The understudy filled in for the little brother and he was amazing! Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth were great obviously. I thought it would be weird having Nathan Lane play Gomez as the character in the movie was a bit more dark and understated. But he played it very well! I loved it! It was funny, not serious, ... read more which is just what Broadway needs! |

A great Broadway show for the whole family! Review by: Adriaen, Jan 13, 2011 |
| One of the best shows I've seen in awhile. Funny throughout and very entertaining musical numbers. The sets were beautiful and creepy. Everyone in the cast was perfect for their part. Krysta Rodriguez as Wednesday Addams is an amazing talent. Recommended for everyone in the family. |

No Stars/No Go Review by: Frightful not Delightful, Jan 10, 2011 |
| If you are into star power go see the show, but don't pay full price. As soon as these stars leave this show it will die on the vine. It is a very boring predictable story with no real catchy tunes. I'd rather pay full price to see Jersey Boys again(I only payed 1/2 price for Addams). |
