Okay, the musical has nothing to do with baseball; however, it IS one of the most unique, original, intertaining shows that I’ve ever been to. Striking 12 tells the story of a New Yorker- a man, disillusioned by

of Gene on the drums, Brandon on keyboards and Valerie on the electric violin. Together, they present the story through song intermixed with storytelling life’s reflections. Hans Christian Anderson’s story The Little Match Girl weaves through the show, adding a mystical quality to the evening. The set is quite simple, with the three performers standing on an almost empty stage, with simple geometric hangings in the back. Any character introduction or change, is done with adding hats,
sunglasses or wigs. This show is the most beautiful, wondrous gift that you could ever give to any one, or receive yourself! Don’t miss it!!!!!!! |

| The reviews below must be written by friends of whoever is involved in this unnecessary and boring production. The theater was 1/3 full on a Sunday evening. I'd imagine most of that 1/3 got free tickets. Really, even for free it wasn't worth it. While the performers are admirable in juggling the instruments and vocals, the story is very boring and silly, the songs are unmemorable (except for maybe a couple, which are semi-OK), and the set is ... read more non-existent. Ultimately, Striking 12 is a completely unsatisfiable evening in the theater. The show is deservedly playing to empty houses. |

This is a very interesting & unique show. The performers are very talented, especially the female lead, what a voice,with an unusual take on the typical "holiday" show.
Recommended.
Agree, the song "Screwed Up People Make Great Art" is right on! |

| Saw "Striking12" this afternoon, opening performance, and as a seasoned theatre goer for many many years in NYC, after having watched the decline of the broadway musical what a refreshing delightful, lyrical, musical and intelligent piece of original theatre. The lyrics are intelligent, sweet and touching without being too sacharine, the music? well nothing short of sensational.Every song is a hit whether a soft ballad or a smashing ... read more rock song, delivered by 3 of the most talented people to hit the theatre scene in recent memory. The Longacre Theater in midtown is empty, lets move this show to broadway where it belongs to give new and old theatregoers something to positively cheer about. An early Christmas present, wrapped up with a bow and the most gorgeous wrapping paper in a long long time. Loved it in case you didnt already figure that out. |

| Saw Striking 12 tonight and thought it was wonderful. Not a concert and not musical theatre. The performers are fantastic and how great to see a holiday show that isn't hokey. My 10 year old daughter and 12 year old nephew loved loved it, especially the song "Screwed Up People Make Great Art". Looking for a family event? this is it! |
