What a wonderful show! The music was incredible, the cast was extremely talented and we were able to attend on a night Duncan Sheik was filling in for the guitarist! What a bonus!
If you get the opportunity to see the show from the $10 discounted seats (located on the stage, among the actors), do it for a fantastic theatrical experience. |

What a great addition to the off-broadway season!
This show is amazingly fun. The cast--a mostly late-teen age group-- makes the future of Broadway seem excitingly bright and hopeful. As a nineteen year old, I'm not sure how far the range of the target audience extends... Hopefully everyone will be able to appreciate it for the great music and fun yet sincere tone. It's about coming of age in a repressed society... so it will ... read more really strike a few chords with the 15-20 age group (probably catching the RENT fanbase), and I can only hope that everyone else will love it too.
Also, I saw it in previews and I know that they added a song since then... so I'm definitely going back to see it again once they start the official run. |

The show was amazing, thought provoking and incredibly well done.
This show is as good as and in some cases better than the shows on Broadway. Brilliant choreography, great music, performed brilliantly.
Wonderful show, I wanted to go see it again this past weekend, we just didnt have the time.

| Spring Awakening is a highly entertaining contemporary musical. Duncan Sheik's original score is very good. I hope they make a sound track CD I would definitely like to own the music. The young cast delivered a terrific performance, they had high energy and the singing was great. The set, although somewhat stark, in my oppinion worked well. Costuming and lighting are good as well.
