| Went with 3 other adults and 4 teenagers. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show. Laughed very hard throughout the entire performance. Would highly recommend it anyone middle school age and up. Younger might not get the jokes. |

| this play was soo funny, my cheeks hurt at the end. never a dull moment, and i loved the audience participation. you walk in and cant stop looking around. this is not your normal broadway show. the songs were not great, but the overall play was a great time. hint:: standing tickets for $25 if your looking for a fun night without a huge price tag. very fun show for all |

Official Audience recommendation for Spelling Bee:
Recommended for 10 and over.*
* Sunday - May 6 @ 7:30pm is Adult Night. Due to the mature material and politically incorrect humor, this performance is not recommended children under the age of 16.
hope this helps |

| Can someone finally answer. Is this for kids? Two boys 7 and 9? So, unsure. Do not want to make a bad choice that is obviously not cheap and not refundable? Please help? |

| Can't believe all the positive reviews for this show! It was childish, but not in a good way. It was amateurish, but not in a good way. It was like no other Broadway show we have even seen but, again, not in a good way. The music was entirely forgettable. My husband, son and I found it boring. There were some clever lines and it was cute. But we spent a lot of money to see something that was merely cute. Save your money. |

Fun evening! Review by: , Jan 23, 2007 |
This is a very adorable show, with lots of laughs and heartfelt moments. I enjoyed it. I will say, however, that it is not a big, splashy Broadway musical, so if that is what you are looking for, see something else. Just a fun evening.

BEE STINGS WITH THE BEST OF THEM Review by: CD, Dec 22, 2006 |
| I see at least 2 broadway and off broadway shows a month - this show is in my top 5 shows of all time up there with wicked jersey boys phantom ave q - all the classics of musical comedy !! - the writing is extremely exceptional - and I who rarely laugh had to control myself from laughing even as the next song started - characters are very loveable - plain and simple go see it - on my way out I bought 6 more tickets to give as gifts !!... read more! - THE THEATRE IS DECORATED LIKE AN ACTUAL SCHOOL AS WELL !!! also will mention if you are a good speller go early they draft people who sign up from the audience to participate in the spelling bee - the way they have the actors interactive with the audience is brilliant and will so surprise you - CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS GREAT SHOW !!! LONG LIVE SPELLING BEE |

Recommend to anyone looking to unwind for 2 hours Review by: Terri, Nov 15, 2006 |
| My 12-year-old daughter and I saw "Spelling Bee" and we both laughed the entire time. The writing is so true to the age as well as being hugely FUNNY! I wouldn't hesistate to recommend this show to anyone aged 10 and up. |

Run, Don't Walk to "Spelling Bee"! Review by: Carol, Nov 1, 2006 |

JOYFUL ENTERTAINMENT Review by: ashwood, Sep 20, 2006 |
| My wife, actress daughter and I saw "Bee" Friday night Sept 15 performance; pure joy. All seats excellent, all actors in touch with audience; unimportant story but you can't help being a part of this charming play that's really fine for adolescents and up (despite the lament to an erection). We plan on seeing it again next time in nyc. |

A+ Review by: dp, Sep 17, 2006 |
I highly recommend this show. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. I thought I knew which of the 6 'kids' would win the bee and was thinking, "Oh how predictible" but I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The songs did not over power the plot/dialogue, the acting was great and as was the set/production. |
