AMAZING Review by: Dave, Jan 20, 2009 |
Despite the drama surrounding Piven's abrupt and unnecessary exit, Macy and company do an amazing job with Mamet's work. A Must See! |

Raul steals the show!! Review by: Sherri B, Jan 16, 2009 |
| Saw the play last night with William H Macy who did a wonderful job as well as Moss but Raul Espinosa stole the show. His acting was tremendous. He should definately get a Tony nod for this part. The play itself was good but not long enough. All in all I would recommend discounted seats. |

WARNING -- REGIME CHANGE! Review by: DoctorJoeE, Dec 25, 2008 |
| Well, this was a first. Jeremy Piven has suddenly left the show due to a sushi overdose (that's his story, and apparently he's sticking to it) -- and the producers have rushed in Norbert Leo Butz to replace him. We saw his first performance tonight (December 24). The director felt obliged to explain to us, pre-curtain, that Norb had had very little time to prepare. No kidding. He was READING FROM A SCRIPT! That's just wrong, in my humble ... read more opinion -- why not let the understudy do the role until Norb can at least memorize his lines? I'm sure they have given a lot of refunds -- the theatre was half full, and the first 3 rows were occupied by a clack of friends & family members -- and they probably feel a certain urgency about replacing their star with another big name. But for heaven's sake -- you can NOT expect people to pay Broadway prices to watch an actor -- ANY actor -- read a script onstage! My wife wants to demand a refund, and I can't say I disagree. The play itself is fine -- but I'd suggest waiting a couple of weeks to see it, until the production is Broadway calibre once again. |

Cast delivers on Mamets promise. Review by: Ricky Roma, Nov 2, 2008 |
| The only problem with this play was that it didn't last longer. All the cast members were excellent. It reminded me of what it's like to watch "real"actors working their craft. Absolutely worth the ticket price! Mamet's words couldn't have been presented to us with more passion and talent. What a great night! |

Review by: newyorker23, Oct 28, 2008 |
| I dont know how anybody who calls themselves a theater goer can say that this play is amazing? what is so amazing about it....yes Piven does a great job being himself...but seriously....Tony awards...a pure delight? I seriously disagree. I was terribly dissapointed. Thank god I paid $20 for my tickets. |

Disappointed Review by: annie meyer, Oct 26, 2008 |
| It was Ari in concert. Ari a little less cool, but still amazing to see Jeremy Piven in action. The story line was ok, a bit too much at times and delivered very quickly. The first act was way too long and uneventful. It did pick up in the end. However, I was waiting for a much better pick up. All in all, I did spend full price and I was disappointed. |

Piven being Piven Review by: Alex'sDAD, Oct 23, 2008 |
| My review may be jaded as this was the first play I attended since, August Osage County, and everything after that will pale in comparison. Not a stretch for Piven as the character is not far removed from his character on Entourage. Esparza was quick, and had some very clever lines in which he delivered with ease. Moss, in my eyes, was awful. Maybe it was a bad night for her. We are all entitled. I must confess, that I am a big fan ... read more of Entourage, and that's why I initially purchased the tix, but I enjoyed the story and had an entertaining evening. My advice would be to not pay up for tix, but go if going for fair value. |

DISAPPOINTING SHOW Review by: , Oct 20, 2008 |
I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PLAY. THE FIRST ACT WAS UNINTELLIGIBLE. THE NEXT TWO ACTS WERE MUCH BETTER BUT AS SOON AS I STARTED TO ENJOY IT THE WHOLE THING WWAS OVER. THE ACTING WAS FANTASTIC THOUGH. FORTUNATELY I ONLY PAID HALF PRICE AND THAT WAS STILL TOO MUCH.

Simply enjoyable in every way Review by: NoOne, Oct 16, 2008 |
| Got the tickets for my birthday on 10/15/2008- best gift i had gotten that day...The play was clever, sharp, witty...although I am a big fan of Raul Esparza who can easily steel any show and never missed a play with him in it, the cast was evenly great. I might go see it again in few months. |

| I would agree with the last reviewer. I thought the play was thought provoking and very good. All three actors were excellent. The audience was held in suspense as I had no idea how the play would end. I wish it was a bit longer. |

Talented cast who execute wonderfully. Review by: amg, Oct 13, 2008 |
| Saw it Saturday evening. Different from the last reviewer, it's a pleasure to see this talent on stage. Piven does a great job in keeping things light, while Elizabeth Moss is superb. The play maintains a sophisticated story line, that provokes the audience to think...don't you want that when you leave a theatre? No intermission, 90 minutes and best theatre dollars I've spent in a while. |

Review by: nyer, Oct 4, 2008 |
| What can I say - this play was decent. Of course it was cool to see Ari (Jeremy Piven) live! but the play itself was about nothing, the dialect was really hard to understand....and with an occasional chuckle here and there I left quite dissapointed. I got these tickets at a discount, and to tell you honestly if I had paid full price I would have been quite upset. The whole show is 1.5 hours long. |
