ONE OF THE BEST SHOW IN NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review by: NHtheatrelover, Jun 21, 2007 |
| Having recently arrived from NH I was excited to see some fantastic New York theatre… ‘Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell’ was IT!!! I’ve enjoyed Spalding since seeing ‘Swimming to Cambodia.’ To be honest I was a bit nervous about seeing a play without him in it. The play was amazing however and helped add closure to why such a brilliant mind was taken from us so soon. This is a wonderful play and the actors are AMAZING!! I was able ... read more to see two performances while I was down and must say I enjoy the ‘revolving’ cast member very much. It adds layers to the piece as Spalding is a voice that we all can relate to. Thanks to everyone who made this show possible! IF YOU ARE IN NYC YOU MUST SEE THIS BRILLIANT GIFT!!! |

Worst customer service ever, don't waste your time on this one Review by: burnsy, May 11, 2007 |
| This show changes their special guest appearance schedule every second. I bought the ticket to see David Boreanaz and his schedule changed without any notice. Called the box office and they didn't want to help me at all. It's really amazing how disrespectful and inprofessional these box office people can be. One of the worst experiences I've every had! |

He's baaa-aaaack! Review by: megavoce, May 1, 2007 |
| As fans of "Spuddy" my husband & I knew we really needed to see this show. We, too, thought it might be sad. But on the contrary---I felt afterwards that they had brought him back! And with such a full rendering (given the addition of journal entries to his published material) that you see the full Spuddy. What a gift. The actors were wonderful! I went to see an old acquaintance, Frank Wood, whose cadences came so close ... read more to Gray's--without becoming an imitation or caricature--you could almost hear him. We loved it loved it! Welcome back Spuddy! |

Moving, lovely piece Review by: WL, Mar 22, 2007 |
| As a Spalding Gray fan of many years, I was ambivalent when invited to see this show. I couldn't imagine his words without him to speak them, and was afraid that this would be too sad an experience, or one that would move only his fans. I was wrong. It's beautifully done, and hearing the words without their writer serves to show what a powerful wordsmith he was; his stories stand on their own, funny, warm, difficult, and accessible to all. ... read more This is a truly wonderful piece, and well worth seeing, whether you already know Spalding Gray's work or not. We loved it. |
