How could you not like this?! Review by: LF, Jul 6, 2011 |
| I agree! I seriously have yet to find someone who didn't love this show. It was, hands-down, one of the most enjoyable Broadway shows I have ever seen -- and I've seen A LOT! Can't wait to see it again. |

Good Show..But NOT Great !! Review by: JAVY, Jul 6, 2011 |
| I had a chance to see this Broadway Show Called SISter Act based on the Movie Version. Although everyone knew the premise I have to say that the Broadway Version had alot of feel Good Moments and Overall A Great Sense of JOY. From the Opening Lead Actress , who at times pushed her character instead of letting it develop with the story, to the Supporting cast blending together and not taking the reins or takien thier Moment when ... read more they had the Opportunity. The Production was Fast, and the Music was above average. I would say this would be a great Show for MOM and Dad and if you had Teen Age Kids who love the Theater , This would be the show. I enjoyed it , and you will TOO !! |

| I don't know what show the previous person saw, but it could not have been Sister Act! I loved this show. I liked Pricilla a lot, but thought the music, the actors and the whole show was much more enjoyable. I could see it again! |

These sisters need to get their act together!! Review by: marss, Jul 4, 2011 |
One of the songs in this show was "Take me to Heaven." I am still waiting for the show to "take me to heaven", instead I sat through hell. The show is another example of a poor attempt of Broadway making a musical out of a movie. If you saw the movie, then you know the plot. The plot of the play was watered down, with forced humor interpolated at different parts. The lead was good, although she seemed to be trying to hard to be Whoopi Goldberg. ... read more Victoria Clark (Mother Superior) has a long list of excellent Broadway experience for she has proven her talent. Her role as Mother Superior was an insult to those who like her and to her own talent. The cop who hides Dolores is not a strong character and not convincing of being her love interest. There was no reason why the gansters broke out in song trying to convince themselves and the audience of their personalities. At first I thought the reason for their song was for a costume or scene change, nope. Their songs just went on and on and on and one. There was no chance for me to get out of purgatory. The costumes were "over the top" and way too garish to the point of being insulting. The movie kept the sacredness of the nuns and priests. This play did not. Instead they made a mockery of Judaism (with word play) and Catholicism with the props and the fifty foot statue of the Virgin Mary which later gets sequined beyond imagination. One of the best parts of seeing a play or a musical is to have an emotional connection with one or more of the characters. There was no emotional connection with any of these characters. Instead, I thought I was watching a church production of the movie in the basement of a church. I would understand the gaudiness of the musical if I were in a church basement paying five dollars for charity. Paying $100.00 for sequins and mockery of anyone's faith was not my idea of fun. I was the only one not standing for the forced standing ovation at the end. I never wanted to get out of a theatre as badly I wanted to get out of this show. This show would be perfect on a first date if you don't want to see the person again. If you want to be "taken to heaven", go see another show. |

Aan afternoon of heavenly bliss Review by: Colonel JOHN282, Jun 14, 2011 |
sister act was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. Dancing, music and sets were superb. The audience was on it feet at the end and no one wanted the show to end. We thought the acoustics of the theater and the actual diction of the casts were unbelievably crisp and clear. We would recommend the show without any reservations. |

A Must See... A Joy, Joy, Joy Review by: , May 24, 2011 |
| I loved, loved, loved this production. It was funny, well performed, with just enough suspense, drama, and comedy. By the end, you will be standing on your feet clapping because you did not waste your hard earned money. I attended this show with my mother who is over 60 and my sister, aunt and girlfriends, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the production. |

PURE JOY! Review by: Leslie, May 16, 2011 |
| It's true -- you smile from the moment this musical starts, till the moment it ends. It's the first time I've ever been disapointed that an intermission came too soon. I just couldn't get enough of the show. They took a fabulous movie and made it EVEN BETTER! The sets and costumes are stunning, and every single time the nuns came on stage, they STEAL the show. I would see this show again and again in a heart beat. Perfect for everyone!! |

Sister Act- Heavenly!! Review by: Judas Priest, May 7, 2011 |
| This show was GREAT!! I got lucky and got the last Rush ticket in the front row and was NOT disappointed. The show was Funny, songs were great, storyline good. The only disappointing thing was the stage is raised alot higher than the front row therefore anything that is done in the back of the stage is NOT seen by the people sitting in the front row. But if you can past that Go see this show It WILL be SOLD-OUT for quite a while! HEAVENLY!!! |

Sister, Brother, the Entire Family.. What an Act! Review by: Diract 66, May 3, 2011 |
| What a lot of fun this show provided for the entire audience. Everyone laughing continuously and the musical numbers were terrific. This show will be a staple in community and educational theatre for a long time. The best part of the show was that many characters had their own musical numbers to shine. There was even one gangster number similar to the three strippers in Gypsy. Excellent singing and performance by Victoria Clark. She had ... read more sooo many funny lines! Patina Miller was also very good in her songs. The set was wonderful as the show progressed. Don’t compare this to the movie. It is a show to enjoy, relax, and have fun. All new songs with very clever lyrics. Listen to the words, which by the way, you can hear. I say see this show. You will not be disappointed. |

Having Enjoyment at the Theater Review by: 3dognite, Apr 27, 2011 |
| Saw the show April 26th. What a joy. Just what is needed ih these times of such stress. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this show. Sister Act is right up there with The Book of Mormons, Priscilla, and Baby It's you. It is nice to know we can go see quality shows and have a grand time. |
