This sorry adaptation to the stage was pretty awful. It's amazing to me that with all of Dreamwork's resources; the amount of talented writers, artists, songwriters and actors that they most certainly have at their disposal that this is the best they could do. It's a shame -- there was so much great material for them to work with -- but obviously the producers of this fiasco were more interested in throwing something together to make some quick ... read more dough than they were in getting it right.

| Saw Shrek over the weekend with a group. Was skeptical because very little buzz about the show. The entire group thought the show was AWESOME!! Don't know why it is not being talked up. The scenery was tremendous. The storyline was pretty true to the movie, with a little variation. Lord Farquaad was INCREDIBLE!!! I was wondering how they were going to make him short. It really, really was a great time. Totally recommend seeing it. |

| Loved the musical! Loved the movie! I went with two teenage boys who were skeptical but in the end were glad they saw it. The sets and costumes were great! Lots of funny parts. |

| Went to see Shrek with 3 other adults. 3 of us enjoyed it very much, one did not. The show was not consistent at times it was very good and at others it was slow. But basically it was a very enjoyable night out. The scenery and the staging was quite good, it was funny and the soon were OK. It wasn't amazing but I am a theatergoer and it was very good and we certainly had a nice time. I'm glad I went. |

| I brought my two kids (4 and 10) for what I had hoped would be some good, lighthearted entertainment and general family fun. Unfortunately we were, overall, pretty disappointed in this show. I never like to come down too hard on the shows because they are undeniably filled with talented performers and entertaining moments. However, the best way to describe this show is 'flat.' None of the characters struck a cord or drew us in, there was no ... read more chemistry between the characters and it generally felt like everyone was 'going through the motions.' We all found ourselves anticipating the end and not being able to even recall one particular moment or character that stood out for us. We also felt that the music didn't even come close to delivering on the mood set by the music of the movie and I think this was part of the flat feeling we had at the end. On the upside, the show was not devoid of slapstick comedy and witty quips and the ever-moving set provided some interest, as well. |

I had high expectatins for Shrek the musical aa the movie is just wonderful. The musical however exceeded my expectations.
The performace was excellent, the set was beautiful. Hilarious for both young and old.

I took my boyfriend to see SHREK THE MUSICAL for Valentine's Day and I wasn't sure if he was gonna kill me for taking him there, LOL. But he loved the show and it was his first Broadway Show. Now we have to go back to take our kids to go see it. Overall the music was good because they sang some funny things. The and costumes was so colorful. My favorite was Lord Farquad. He was so hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing because they did a good job ... read more making him 4 feet tall. Is a must see for the entire family and couples like us. If you are planning to bring kids it should be over 6 years-old. I saw the 2pm show and there were even babies in the theater. A four year-old was behind me and she started nagging through out the show. The seats was already small and she kept kicking my back seat. I felt sorry for the tot because she's not ready to handle a broadway show. The show was 2 hours 30 minutes long with 1 intermission. Overall SHREK is a must see for everybody.

| We saw Shrek during the holidays and were VERY pleasantly surprised how much everyone loved it. We had a group of kids with us aged 14-22 and they all agreed it was a wonderful show. Beautiful sets and costumes, a funny and quick-witted script and of course, talent. We've seen almost every show to date and thought this was a very fun night out. |

| WOW - I wasn't expecting too much from this show but boy were we pleasantly surprised! I saw this with my 13 yr old daughter and we both LOVED it. Very funny - we were laughing throughout the show. Great set designs. And WOW - Shrek and Fiona had amazing voices - they send chills down your spine. Don't hesitate to see this. You will be so happy you did. You will leave with a smile on your face. | I had the pleasure of seeing Shrek the Musical last night. Let me first tell you that all the actors and actresss were extremely talented. Lord Farquaad was absolutly halerious and stole the show. Every time he appeared on stage the audience errupted into laughter. Shrek and Fiona did an amazing job as well as did Donkey... haha they were all great. Pinocchio was funny and you have to be on your toes other wise you will miss a lot of the great ... read more humor. There are so many disney jokes, as well as little jokes from Wicked. The set was absolutly magnificent as was the dancing!The music was fine... I wouldn't go run out and buy the c.d. but when you see the show you will catch on to the humor in the songs. Also, the show is 2 and a half hours but will keep your interest the whole time. The disney fairy tale characters were all well represented! The whole cast really made you feel like you were in the show. Besides Beauty and the Beast, I feel like this production of Shrek is higher quality than most of the Disney shows, although I do love Disney shows! The cast had so much energy, the only time i saw a tiny bit of lack of energy and i might have been the only one to see this is the theater, but in the last number all the characters are on stage and there is a young fiona and i guess it was a little past her bedtime because she looked half asleep on stage but she did a fine job with her part and was adorable. Only negative I had was that the seats are the smallest seats you will ever see so pray that you have nice neighbors next to you. I saw some empty seats at the show but for the most part it was full. With the recession you can find discounted tickets which i definitly recomment you jumping upon. Believe me besides everyone doing an amazing job at the end of the show you will be raving about Lord Farquaad, the actor who plays him is on his knees the whole time using pupeted legs making him look real short. All the characters play up their roles so well you will feel like you are in the movie. Princess Fiona is a lot funnier in the show than in the movie. You leave the show with the song "I'm a believer" playing in the background concluding your night of Shrek on broadway. I would recommend orchestra seats and all the kids in the audience were very well entertained and quiet. GO SEE SHREK! |

| This show should be a SOLD OUT SHOW!!! Watched it tonight with my boyfriend. He's not really into theater at all.. and didn't LOVE the movie, but he really enjoyed the show. The storyline is very similar to the movie, but the jokes are funny, costumes are great.. just a fun show overall. The casts' performance was over the top. I am definitely recommending Shrek The Muscial to all my friends and family. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. =P |

| This was our first Broadway experience, my husband's birthday gift to me. And boy! Was it awesome or what! The musical was absolutely fantastic, magical even. Lord Farquaad positively blew us away with his performance. As did the rest of the cast, actually! :) A show noone should miss, I'd say! And oh! The music is to DIE for! :) |
