See it before it's too late!!! Review by: Chelsea, Dec 4, 2006 |
| This show deserves a much longer life than it's been given. Do yourself a favor and run to see if before it closes on the 10th. Lots of fun - energy - voices are great! Erin Crosby can belt with the best of Broadway! Erica Schroeders rendition of Goldfinger is not to be missed. The cast have a great repore - comic timing - and they sound wonderful together as a group as well as individually. I had a blast and hope that someone will produce ... read more it again with this same cast! |

Fun! Review by: mary, Sep 22, 2006 |
| This is a perfect choice for something just fun and not at all heavy. The singing voices are uneven but it's worth going just to see/hear the blue girl. There is no intermission and the performance skips by easily and quickly. Everyone leaves with a smile on their face, a skip to their step...and for women bred in the 60's...a tugging morsal on which to chew. |

Funny show and talented actors, would see it again! Review by: bohicket, Sep 17, 2006 |
| This is one of the funniest and most entertaining shows that I have been to in some time. Taking you back in time, each of the girl's stories was both hysterically funny and at the same time thought provoking! It goes to show you that it's worth the effort to look beyond the lights and noise to find a rare jewel. |

If you even remotely remember the '60s Review by: mr_joe, Aug 29, 2006 |
Wow what a great night out! This show bangs out song after song that will make it very difficult for you not to sing quietly in your seat. Great voices on stage! If you remember the music of the '60s, if you remember "THE PILL," if you remember "Mod," if you loved "Paul,"(yes THAT Paul) this is the show for you! Very attractive set, great sound, nice lighting design, nice theater: what a bargain for a high energy show! |

casey Review by: mister rudd, Aug 26, 2006 |
| The show is what it is. It is not a show that will change you, or make you think. It is, however, a lot of fun. And all I have to say is CASEY CLARK. Look out for this girl. She's fierce. |

Enjoyed It More Than Jersey Boys Review by: jake, Aug 11, 2006 |
| Excellent off-broadway show. This high-energy musical held my undivided attention for the full 90 minutes (without intermission). It brought me back to the lively music of the sixties. A nostalgic trip. If you are from that era, you can't miss. You will come out with as smile. I enjoyed it even more than Jersey Boys. That says it for me. |

Likely to Fail High School Arts Class! Review by: rlvjr, Aug 9, 2006 |
| SHOUT would most likely fail as a high school show, with a $6 admission, and with the audience being mostly the parents of the performers. Broadway standards are high these days, and so are Off-Broadway skills. Not only are prices high for either, but so are the ambitions of the writers, performers etc. Here we are given 5 essentially boring young women, all stereotypes --- the slut, the student, the housewife, the plain-jane, and of ... read more course the lesbian. Where-oh-where would a "Woman's Arts Project" be without their lesbian? Each will sing or lip-sinc a few old songs, tell lame and boring jokes mostly relating to a women's advice column....... Never mind! The best part is after 90 minutes, the show is OVER. That's right. After your drink, rest room stop, or whatever, you get to move on to more worthwhile things, because they at least spare the audience a Second Act. Double Yuck! |

Absolute Waste of Time and Money. Review by: FRANKIE, Aug 8, 2006 |
| I had high hopes for SHOUT based on the positive reviews posted on this website --- despite 100% of the professional reviews giving it thumbs down. A mildly entertaining revue, with no story to involve us with the characters, more like a lounge act in Las Vegas than a serious Off Broadway effort. Nothing new with the music, just a rehash of songs sung earlier by more talented people. As one example of the staleness of this loser, can you guess ... read more that one of the 5 girls is a lesbion? Can you guess which one? The "mandatory" homosexual theme was stale 20 years ago, now growing more annoying than offensive. Question: Can you name 5 current Broadway shows WITHOUT homosexual themes? Bet you can't. I can't. But more than that, the show is just not worth one's time. |

Pure Fun ! Review by: Sam, Aug 6, 2006 |
| What wonderful music from the 60's: Petula Clark,Dusty Springfield. If you can walk out of a theater smiling and humming the songs, then you know it's a winner! The cast is talented, funny, the theme clever. I'll definitely see it again and bring friends and family. |
