Mind Tricks Are Great Fun ! Review by: Goya, Jan 20, 2011 |
Everything that Carol posted about on 1-8-2011....this show is great fun and can be a great bargain if you book with broadway box at the discounted rates. The show is entertaining for adults and for their children who will pay attention. Not, IMO, suitable for most pre-teens or younger children but I noted several kids in the audience who looked to be maybe 10 yoa and who obviously loved the show. We enjoyed the Snapple Theater venue more just ... read more because it was an easy walk from our hotel. As Carol said : this is one of those little things that will make your vacation to NYC something special! Try to splurge on the best seats if you can. Sam selects mostly from these seats for volunteers to go on stage and participate in the tricks. Your kids will thank you! I want to be Sam Eaton when I grow up!

Fun magic show in New York City Review by: Carol, Jan 8, 2011 |
| My husband kept on saying "How did he do that?" after every trick. It was a really fun way to have a night out show-and-a-dinner (the show is at 5pm). One of those little things that made our trip to NYC special. |

See this show and go with friends Review by: PatDrex, Oct 27, 2010 |
I wish I had found your site and the discount code before I saw the show, but I'm not disappointed. The show was fantastic. I went with my girlfriend and her best friend and it was all we could talk about at dinner. However, I understand the show is playing in different locations until they can move to a permanent one because their theater closed. On the night I went they were playing at Zinc Bar. I'm sure it's a smaller place ... read more then their old theater, but I think it's great being so close to what happens and Sam used about a quarter of the audience as volunteers. Go, you'll enjoy. Very entertaining for families Review by: Frequent theatre goer, Oct 20, 2010 |
| I saw this show Sat. evening. The day before I got an e-mail saying the show had to move to a different location, several blocks away in a bar in Greenwich Village. Depending on how you purchased your tickets (ours were very discounted) is where they sat you. It really didn't matter as you can see from anywhere since the place is small and Sam walks around alot also. We took 2 teenages (age 14) and we all thought it was a great show. I did ... read more think a few of the things he did were drawn out. The show lasted 1 hr 20 min. straight. He did ask for many volunteers and although my daughter had her hand up many times, she was not chosen, although others were chosen more than once. Anyway, it was a fun night out and I'm still talking to people about it and how possibly he could have known certain things. |

Loved it! Review by: Drea, Mar 5, 2010 |
| I loved the show! I loved the music! And I loved the message. Sam tells you right from the start that he is not psychic and that everything that you're going to see is deception. As a parent, I really appreciate that, although I wouldn't suggest bringing really young kids because they probably wont follow what's going on. Sam is funny, too. He doesn't make fun of people on stage. You don't have to worry about that. That's important ... read more to know because he is constantly pulling up volunteers. Sam just has this subtle sense of humor that makes you crack a smile throughout the show. You have to see it to understand. My only criticism is that the show should be more than just on Saturdays. I think that he has shows on some Tuesdays, but you have to check his website for that schedule. More shows, Sam, more shows! |

Well, I'm baffled! Review by: Mary , Nov 8, 2009 |
| Sam Eaton puts on a fabulous show. The content is original and very interactive. It was a full house the night that I went and well-deserved! My brain could burst just thinking about how he did certain tricks. There is one particular trick that I keep running thru my head, but I just can't figure it out. I must go back and see it again. |

A guaranteed good time! Review by: TheaterMama, Dec 5, 2008 |
| My family and I had an amazing time! My son was picked for one of the demonstrations and is still trying to figure out how Sam knew exactly what he was thinking. Quite honestly, so am I! We all have different favorites from the show. Mine was the very last trick with the newspaper articles. I can guarantee that we will be seeing Sam's show again as my son and daughter want to bring their friends. I'll bring mine, too. |

Great for a date Review by: Nick L, Nov 7, 2008 |
| This show was recommended by a friend and were so glad we went. Eaton is a funny and talented performer and throughout the show we were amazed. I wasn't sure what mentalism was, but I came away entertained and impressed. |

Not suitable for kids under 12 Review by: soroka, Oct 26, 2008 |
Sound quality is awful. Visibility is poor. This show is advertised as a family show on every web site, instead it should say "Not suitable for kids under 12". I attended it with three kids, ages 5, 7 and 11. They were all bored out of their mind. This is an entertainer for an adult party of 30-50, not for large or young audiance.

What a great find! Review by: garmento, Jul 15, 2008 |
I hosted a group of convention goers who were looking for a great Broadway experience and we stumbled on The Quantum Eye after a hectic afternoon galavanting around Times Square. This show was the perfect escape and we were instantly transfixed on this interesting man who somehow could see into our souls. Great audience interaction and spontaneous interplay combined with a pitch perfect magic and mentalist event. Go see it, participate,... read more, and have fun.....we did.

This is definitely a must-see. Review by: KnightInManhattan, Jun 4, 2008 |
| I haven't seen a mentalism show in quite a while. This was very interesting and enjoyable. It is a very different theatre experience in that the audience must actively participate in the show. I found that to be not only exciting but also added a great deal to the overall energy. Sam Eaton is a wonderful performer and does a great job entertaining not only the older folks like myself but also the youngsters as well. We had a fabulous time. |

This is a MUST SEE !!! Review by: J Anderson, Mar 9, 2008 |
| The Quantum Eye is absolutely amazing! Sam Eaton presents a very intelligent and classy show. I thoroughly appreciated that he did not claim to have any special psychic abilities. He tells his audience at the beginning of the show that what we will see is all tricks. He said that, if you're going to take home any message from the show, that you basically open up your mind and question what seems improbable. That is a rule that we should all ... read more live by. |

Two thumbs up and two big toes !!! Review by: Natalie, Dec 11, 2007 |
| Bravissimo, Sam Eaton! The Quantum Eye was an unforgettable experience. My husband and I visited New York City for a few days and our hotel concierge recommended this show. What luck! This magical experience was the icing on the cake. For parents out there, this show is also great for kids (although maybe not for kids under 5 years old). I say this because, unless you have a very mature young child, this show may not be that visually ... read more entertaining for little ones. You're not going to see rabbits pulled out of hats or levitation. Sam Eaton is not an illusionist. This show is more cerebral / more mental. He does mind reading, card tricks, etc. I highly recommend Sam Eaton's show. Two thumbs up!!! |

Magic is in the air ... Review by: Angie Wallace, Nov 19, 2007 |
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time at The Quantum Eye magic show. Sam Eaton could make a skeptic a true believer in psychic ability. That, my friends, takes some skill! This show is very volunteer-oriented, but fret not - Mr. Eaton makes you feel at ease on stage. It's not like he puts you on the spot as some other performers do. I even had the courage to volunteer myself. Pardon my French, but how the heck did he ... read more figure out the name that I was thinking of? It's not a common name. In fact, it's rather unusual. I was baffled and delighted at the same time. After the show, Mr. Eaton performed a few tricks for my son, Michael. I think that I now have a magician wanna-be in the family. I highly recommend this show! For parents out there, know that this show is not the type with disappearing acts and levitation of sorts. The Quantum Eye is more of a cerebral experience - it's mind reading, card tricks, etc. It is very entertaining for both adults and kids. But if you have VERY young kids (5 and under), they will probably not enjoy this. My Michael loved the show (he is 9 years old). In speaking with Mr. Eaton, he informed me that the show will be moving in about a week to the Snapple Theater on Broadway. I am not sure where that is exactly, but it shouldn't be that difficult to locate. It's around Times Square. Once again, I really enjoyed this show and recommend this for the family outing. I will definitely be going back to see it again.
