| The Jewish Theater of New York is a unique theater. For one thing: it dares go where others don't. This time the folks of the Jewish Theater are also very funny. SAIDA, their current show, is extremely funny and quite impressive. What SAIDA manages to do is what political theater usually doesn't: SAIDA takes itself lightly. Timely, funny, well acted and directed, SAIDA is a sharply humorous look at the Middle East and a show that must be seen by anyone interested in the Middle East.
I saw it on Monday night with my spouse and we both laughed our hearts out. |

Timely, but does not work Review by: LD, May 15, 2011 |
I wish I could recommend this play, I really do. The actors tried very hard, we need a good English-language Jewish theater group in NYC and the plot seems timely, but, alas it simply does not work.
The play runs one hour, which, it seems was too long for the row behind who left around the 40 minute mark.
