You have to stay in this hotel at least once in your life. You will be disrespected by the rude and bad mannered porters at the door, particularly by an individual called Joe. He will not give you your luggage even if you are in a rush. You will have always something missing to be replenished in your room. One day it will be towels, next it will be soap and so on. You will experience bedbug bites even one week after you leave the ... read more hotel, yes, you read right, bedbugs! You will have to wait forever to get a lift. You will have to cruise different floors until you find a ice machine that works. You will not have the need to complain because nobody will listen to you. What I say, you have to stay at least once in this hotel, and then you will appreciate other hotels service even if they are regular or roadside motels. You will be really happy when you get back home and you will know if your skin react or not to bedbug bites or not.

I am currently searching for a NYC hotel to accomodate my out of town wedding guests in early 2010 and came across the Roosevelt Hotel. Contacted the events planner Rose Garafolo - who right from the beginning seemed a bit disorganized and frazzled. After several correspondences via email - i had scheduled an appt with Rose to view a room today. When I went to the front desk - I was informed by Alfredo (an extremely rude employee - who seems ... read more to get frustrated very easily when asked a question) that there were no rooms. Instead of trying to ease the situation - Alfredo seemed to perpetuate it - given it was Rose's miscommunication. To make a long story short - I left the hotel feeling disrespected and completely turned off by the way the staff treats their guest and potential clients. after reading other reviews on this site - im not the only one thats had a bad experience at this so called hotel.
