OK Review by: , Jan 13, 2008 |
Second time seeing this as my 19 year old niece never saw it and was dying to, so off we went. She loved, I liked it more than I did the first time, some of the music is quite good.
Would it be my first choice as a recommendation? No, but it is not the worst thing I have seen. |

Moving show, and will see it again, and again, and again Review by: RENThead, Jan 3, 2008 |
Im 15 years old, and I saw rent on the January 2nd and it was amazing. I found all of the actors to be phenomenal, and i was sitting on the edge of my seat for the entire show. It is a great story, but i wouldnt reccomend it for anybody younger than 14. I saw it with my family, including my 11 yr old brother, and he liked it, but my parents agreed that the cursing and some other themes werent really for him.
I personally love the show, a ... read more RENThead as they call it, and i reccomend people to see it. But only go if you are willing to have an open mind and heart.
It might help though, if you know the storyline before you go see it, mainly because most of the dialog is sung, and if you miss something that is said in a song, you might not understand some later things that come up. |

525600 ways to see this beside the song Review by: hil, Dec 26, 2007 |
| This show is great. I love the part when Mareen riding in the Snow song with her bike. A little ranchey but I would say still go don't take anybody like senors or Big relious freeks (it does not work). I love the songs and the story. |

Saw the show 12/06/2007 and 12/07/2007. Don't Bother Review by: Bob, Dec 11, 2007 |
| I am a true RENT HEAD. Have seen the show 6 times so heed my advice: RENT is most awesome...but...with Bennett as Roger, it sucks. First off, you cant even understand him. He has a British accent and "projects" so softly to the audience that you can't hear him. Thank GOD I already knew what Roger was to be singing and saying because if you don't before you go to the show, don't bother going. You will not understand one, single, solitary,... read more, word he is saying or singing. And the overacting by Roger does not make up for this. Why is he one of the Lead roles???? As a true RENT fan, I hate admitting to this, because I want RENT to go on for many more years. Maybe Nederlander checks these sites and will heed some great advice. |

I LOVE RENT MORE THAN A FAT KID LOVES CAKE! Review by: iLoveRentMoreThanBreathing, Dec 7, 2007 |
| Well, RENT is the best movie and musical i have ever seen in my entire life. I saw it for the second time this past October. It was life changing. I really enoy it. Anyone who dislikes it is heartless and definately no friend of mine. All of the acters were amazing. I love the characters especially Mimi. I am super jealous of anyone that go to see it with Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. That would be a dream of a life time. I think i am going to ... read more see it for a third time this spring in NYC. I'll be counting down the days. :] |

See This If You Must Review by: Carol, Oct 22, 2007 |
| The songs in this long-running show dealing with AIDS are mostly unmemorable. La Boheme has it all over the musical! It has a tremendous following, especially among young theatre-goers, so that's good for Broadway; however, I was left largely unmoved by a wooden cast and their plights. Everyone has troubles. That's nothing new. |

BEST MUSICAL EVER!!!!!! Review by: Reviewer of many Broadway shows, Oct 20, 2007 |
Best musical I have ever seen. I knew it was my favorite even before intermission came because it was that good. It was deep and had many messeges behind it, if you really listened to the songs. It made me cry and I felt like all of the characters were my friends. However, I don't know how good it's going to be wit the new Mark and Roger, but it was FANTASTIC with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal

NEW Roger and Mark are TERRIBLE Review by: , Oct 16, 2007 |
| I went to see Rent last weekend and as the cast came on stage everyone jumped to their feet and applauded! The entire show was amazing. Then I went this past sunday and found out they had changed Roger and Mark. The entire show was horrible. You couldn't understand what roger was saying or singing. The two male leads looked like they couldn't care less. People were getting up and leaving and laughing at disbelief. WHAT HAPPENED> So much ... read more money on a ticket and a horrible show. MIMI worked so hard to try to keep the cast up and going. She was a trooper. OH MY. Such a bummer! |

Rent - the Don't Miss it Broadway Show! Review by: Jill from England, Oct 8, 2007 |
| We visited New York recently - it was the first time for my husband and 2 kids (age 16 and 14) and we were lucky enough to see Rent on our final night. For us, it made our holiday. Everyone thought it was absolutely brilliant - we could not fault any of the cast and found it a moving and enthralling experience which could not be beaten. We had all seen the film found the live version infinitely superior (although I thought Rosario ... read more Dawson was excellent in the film). This was our first Broadway show - it certainly won't be our last, if this is an example of the quality of performances on display. How lovely it was for some of the cast to come out afterwards and pose for photos and sign every autograph presented to them - class acts all round! |

Review by: Big Shpagoan, Sep 19, 2007 |
| I recently went to see RENT again for the 4th time. Having Grey, Pascal and Rapp in the cast made it the best performance of the show I have seen. With the exception of the guy who played Collins, every performer was on their "A" game. I would suggest anyone see this show now before Pascal and Rapp leave on Oct. 7th. |

| I recently saw Anthony and Adam for the second time with my two daughters.Once again we were speechless and joyful. The movie and play have touched my life in such a profound way. In Feb my daughter asked me to watch the movie with her,I was feeling down because my beloved father had just been diagnosed with cancer, she has seen it and loved it. She thought I might like it.Needless to say it spoke to my heart and soul. I have watched it over and ... read more over agin. There is truely "No day but today" When I am sad and down I listen to the soundtrack for an uplift. It makes me grateful for each day with friends and family. |

Wonderful!!! Review by: musicaltheaterfan, Sep 8, 2007 |
Recently saw RENT with original cast members, Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. It was amazing. The entire cast is very talented and the story still touches the heart. For those thinking of seeing RENT, I would suggest that you become familiar with the storyline(most of the negative reviews seem to be from people who were offended by the subject matter). This was my first experience seeing a show on Broadway, and was not disappointed ... read more in the production. I must admit to being a little surprised by the theater itself, however. It's much smaller and somewhat shabbier than expected. |

awsome Review by: Rentjunkie, Sep 7, 2007 |
| Rent is by far the most amazing show I have ever seen, I am going to go see Anthony and Adam for the second time on the 15th of sept. My two daughters will be with mE(again) and reciting all the words the whole time. This show will change the way you view life if you listen to the message and have an open mind. |
