I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Review by: suseidreamer, Apr 3, 2012 |
| I am the mother of a 19 year old and a 9 year old. These folks captured the parenthood experience! No intermission- I laughed for a solid 80 minutes. Absolutely loved it! If you are a parent- go see it. Do not bring the kids- not appropriate for anyone under 14. |

decent, solid show Review by: mintcar, Mar 16, 2012 |
| I thought Rated P was a solid, entertaining show. It deals with a lot of the obvious/trite, and not so obvious troubles, events, etc of, well, parenthood. I was able to relate to a decent amount despite not being a parent; but I do think that the show is probably more relevant for those who are. |

You have lived Parenthood....Now remember it !!!! Review by: Diract 66, Mar 15, 2012 |
| A pleasant less than 90 minutes that just sped by,as that time with your childen does, looking back in your life. A must see for Parents whose children are grown up and at least off to college. Many vignettes, starting at birth, babysitting grandparents, feeding the baby at night, off to school, in the playground, etc. If you are a parent you will subconsciously be flashing back to each story in your own life with your children as you watch this ... read more musical. With only four actors taking on many roles and doing a great job changing their characters, you are in for an entertaining time. There is no set to speak of but watch for the texts' on the screens during brief scene changes. Some profanity that was totally NOT needed. Why does every show have to have the F--K word? Especially this otherwise nice show. The music was very loud, although they are well upstage, and at times, some lyrics were not understandable. Individually everyone had clear vocal quality. Buy your tix at a discount and just sit back and relax. Script improvements could have been made to make some of the scenes stronger but this show will give you a nice repose through this summer only. |

| What an amazing evening filled with fun, emotions and tears from both. The best 90 minutes we spent in recent time filled with material that is REAL and performed by a very talented group, in a fast moving tempo. A must to see for anyone that has any connection to babies, children, teens and college bound. That would make ALL of the theater goers. Saw it with my wife and we both loved it. Now we need to see it again with our children and friend. ... read more Loved it! |

Very surprised! Review by: Roger, Feb 24, 2012 |
| I'm not a parent but soon realized that is not a prerequisite for this show. It really is for anyone who has parents, has had parents, or is a parent. I'm pretty sure that covers everyone. Honestly, even if you're not in to "family" criteria, it's still a funny show. The music is hilarious. I have a couple of the songs stuck in my head: the one about watching the game and the one about the prom. There are so many songs, I wish there was one in ... read more every scene. It was only an hour and a half long which I liked and I thought the actors were amazing. I walked out of the show thinking, "I wish life was that funny." Then I thought, "What am I thinking? They were singing about normal, everyday circumstances. Life IS funny." Of course, they know how to write music and words that bring out the humor we so often miss in our everyday lives (probably because our minds are clouded by our own emotional involvement in whats going on). That being said, it was really nice to see how funny life can be performed for me through hilarious songs and all too real situations. Humanity should be celebrated and this show accomplishes just that. |

Really Funny Review by: Dave R, Feb 22, 2012 |
My girlfriend and I saw Rated P last night and totally enjoyed it. I liked how clever the writing was (switching from a scene to a funny text message segment to a song.) I thought it was really cool how they projected text messages between a mom and dad onto the wall. The actors were super funny too. If you want a night of easy going laughter mixed with a little tenderness, this is a good show for it. My favorite number was the rap ... read more between two of the whitest guys I've ever seen. Hilarious Show! Highly Recommended! Review by: theaterfan, Feb 22, 2012 |
| I thought this show was hilarious, and had some REALLY catchy music. I still have the "Summer Camp" song stuck in my head. The cast was great, and made me laugh the entire show. I definitely plan to come back, so I can bring my parents. |

Hysterical, poignant, and FUN! Review by: Musical Theatre Lover, Feb 22, 2012 |
| I'd highly recommend this show to anyone looking for a fun night out at the theatre! This show did an amazing job of capturing the ups and downs and ins and outs of parenthood . . . without resorting to the typical cliches. As a parent, I can tell you, this show hit all the moments just right! Super funny. Amazing performances. And there were plenty of surprisingly touching moments throughout the show as well. I noticed several of people in the ... read more audience who looked too young to be parents themselves, but I'm sure they've HAD parents, so they seemed to be enjoying the show too! |

Funny and fun show. Will be sending my parents. Review by: #1 Dad, Feb 22, 2012 |
| Saw this show last night and had a great time. It is funny, smart and moving. The show takes you from conception through all the key points in a parent child life through college drop-off. After the show was a talkback with the cast and creative team. They were very warm, smart and gave some great insight into what it took to make the show. It was a really fun night at the theater. I'd recommend this show to everyone I know. Plus if you go ... read more to a 7pm show you'll be out in time for a proper dinner. |

if you are looking for a broadway or off broadway show to see avoid Rated P for Parenthood - I mean come on they had a song called You can't handle the tooth - which thankfully I did not stay to see - however i was poisoned by 2 white dudes rapping to a song called Parent Teacher conference "what up with that" - Worst thing I ever saw. Can there be something less interesting than parenthood? There was a song about pottytraining in it, how ... read more cutting edge! But the worst was the Joni Mitchell style son...g that reeked with gratuitous sentimentality. The one that the mother sings as she watches her daughter get on the school bus for the first time. Apparently her own mother recently died and she requests that grandmom "up in heaven" makes sure that bullies don't take her daughters lunch money etc. etc. Immediately after the song I glanced around the audience. Even the women (who would probably cry at the drop of a hat during a Hallmark Channel movie) had blank, shark-eyed stares. The whole show made me want to get a vascetomy. |
