oink oink Review by: folkyboy, Sep 4, 2006 |
I expected a lot more out of Roundabout than this painted on blood farcical.
Granted, this could have been GREAT had it have not come in the heels of such giants like Lieutenant of Inishmore earlier this season. The acting was too over the top and seemed a bit in the sense like it was trying to cover up the lack of meat in the material. I was sasitated for what it was but felt like it could have stood for a bit more tweaking before ... read more releasing it to the public. Definitely a hog. |

mindless, stupid fun. Review by: mb, Sep 2, 2006 |
| I found it hillarious, kind of Saturday Night Live slapstick, mindless fun. My daughter (14) found it stupid and not worth the price of admission. Don't expect your mind to be challenged in any way, but if you are looking for stupid fun, this is it! |

PIG FARM SINKS IN THE SLUDGE Review by: RALPHIE, Aug 22, 2006 |
| Unfortunately the author never learned basic creative writing. At least 25% of the dialog is goddam and sonnovabitch... Cheap swear words used in excess are the hallmark of a writer with nothing to say and no ability to say it. Thus whatever basic idea there was in PIG FARM gets swamped in the boring excessive avalanche of goddamn this and goddamn that... |

Innovative, funny show with amazingly talented cast! Review by: Kenny, Jul 25, 2006 |
| Laughed out loud for much of the production. The actors were all excellent - simply didn't know how they could continue without breaking into laughter. The play itself was intense and absurd with dialogue that was deceptively simple. Recommending this play very highly both to see the amazing cast, but also for the laughs. |

Not worthwhile Review by: tim, Jul 7, 2006 |
| The best way I can describe this show is that the author took an idea that would have been funny for about 10 minutes and stretched it into over two hours of a two-act play. I stayed for the second act just to see if it would get any better, and it didn't. The play itself never engaged me enough to justify its length. There are good performances, but they are not enough to make this production worthwhile. |

Review by: ruthie, Jul 6, 2006 |
| one of the worst shows i have ever seen and i have seen a great many shows. i am a roundabout subscriber and saw it before my ticket date. it was so dreadful that i did not know anyone i wanted to punish enough to make them sit through it so i could not even give it away. fortunately there was an intermission and i did not have to stay till the end. |
