What a snoozer Review by: scallop, Aug 20, 2009 |
| It was a very expensive nap! After struggling to keep my eyes open during the actors dialog, I noticed my husband was completely asleep. We spent too much money for train fairs and tickets to see this snoozer |

| Wish I had read the previous reviews before we wasted our time and money on this play. Confusing dialogue.. I have seen much better high school productions. |

Terrible waste of an afternoon... Review by: , Aug 12, 2009 |
| Although I figured out the "mystery" early on, I still found the plot convoluted and nonsensical. Also, while the acting was mostly adequate, the female lead's voice and exaggerated mannerisms made her extremely unappealing. I disliked this production immensely, and urge you to save your money. |

Don't waste your money Review by: Che-Marie, Aug 6, 2009 |
| We should have spent the money on dinner instead. We sat in the front row. The lead actress constantly blinked, squinted, and rolled her eyes throughout the show. The story line was very confusing and not very interesting at all. The only redeeming qualities were the police detective and the patient. They were both alright. We left the theatre laughing, wondering how this has lasted so long. |

I Am a Victim of the "Perfect Crime" Review by: Bill from Long Beach, Aug 5, 2009 |
| I found myself not really caring what the resolution would be...the more I think about this play since seeing it, the worse it becomes for me. I thought the acting was good...the play itself was weak. The theatre's seating arrangement is not the best as it appears everyone is sitting at the same level...the futher back you sat, the worse the view. It was only 30 bucks thank goodness...not worth it though. |

Give it a miss! Review by: Alan, Apr 20, 2009 |
Why would anyone go and see this play - my advice? Don't bother. The theatre is small yet you still can't see! The air conditioning is noisey, the actors mostly mumble, especially the policeman! I am not surpirsed that the tickets are heavily discounted - the show is old, tired and should have been retired ages ago, I have been to better amateur productions, if fact I have been to better school plays! |

Not horrible, but... Review by: Chelle, Apr 4, 2009 |
The show was performed well, but the script was weak. I love a good "who done it," but this one crossed over into the ridiculous. The play seemed to be written for confusion rather than mystery. Even once all the secrets were revealed, it made little sense. I read that this was the authors first play. That is exactly what it felt like. I am surprised that it has been showing for so long other than there are lots of tourists in NYC who ... read more can’t get tickets to something better.

I really liked it Review by: mike, Mar 10, 2009 |
| There is a reason this play has been running so long. People like it! How many mysteries are actually hard to solve? This one is, and that makes it interesting. So many twists and turns coming at you from beginning to end, it's really a rollercoaster. I think the negative reviews are because those people just didn't get it and feel cheated. They shouldn't be blaming the play. And the acting I thought was very naturalistic, not ... read more rushed but actually the way people speak in real life. So that's what this play was like to me, real life, but with a big mystery at the heart of it, and some people want all spectacle whereas I went in wanting a good story and that's what I got. |

Review by: Joe , Dec 7, 2008 |
My dad picked this show because he saw it was a mystery/who done it--he loves those! Loved The Mousetrap in London, so he thought we'd all enjoy this. We're still trying to figure out what it was about! The actor's spoke it like a speed through line rehersal with no apparent connection to the story or eachother. It was like they had to be out of the theater by a certain so they ran through the lines of this uninteresting play so fast that ... read more when it was over the audience had no idea it ended! No one in the audience clapped no one did anything. Then eveyone started whispering, "Is that it? Is it over?" The entire audience had no idea what this thing was but they were sure it wasn't a play! Oh those poor tourists who have no idea and FORGET IT if you don't comprehend English well. If we didn't understand it, and we speak it, they NEVER would!!!!!! |

Perfectly awful Review by: , Aug 22, 2008 |
| This was so boring. My boyfriend and I was yawning the whole time. The plot was confusing and not interesting. The seats were 1/3 fill, that should been a sign to leave the play. The tickets didn't cost that much, but I still feel like the tickets was overprice for 31 dollars and that is not including taxes and surcharges, which came out to be 38 dollars. Final review, save your money for a steak dinner. At least that is a better deal. |

Great show! Review by: , Aug 5, 2008 |
| I can understand why this play has lasted for so long. The story is very smart and keeps you guessing. It's definitely not for stupid people because it involves many twists and turns. The acting is fast-paced and energetic. We had a great time at an affordable price. |

A perfect time to retire this play. Review by: coloradodude, Jun 22, 2008 |
| It was so good that I fell asleep during it. I wouldn't recommend it at this point. I would say it it pretty obvious the actors are tired of doing this over and over. |
