WASTE OF MONEY! NO HEAT IN THE THEATER! Review by: Theater Goer, Dec 28, 2010 |
I went to Monday Night Magic at their new venue at the Julia Miles Theater. It was 28F degrees in NYC with a windchill below 0F and there was NO HEAT in the theater for the duration of the show! The entire audience which included many young children had to keep their coats and winter gear on during the show and were still uncomfortably cold. Neither the staff nor the performers bothered to apologize or address the heat issue. They didn't take ... read more into any consideration that there may have been guests at the show with health issues that cannot endure sitting in the cold for 2 hours. The thermostat in the theater read 40F. The show is a RIP-OFF!

TERRIBLE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME!!!!!! Review by: BroadwayTonight, Dec 10, 2009 |
TERRIBLE SHOW. Unfunny. Not worth my money-even WITH the discount. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. UGH. Boring. There is a magician on the subway who is more impressive than these hacks. |

Monday Night Magic rocks! Review by: Mike R, Aug 6, 2009 |
| My 10-year old son and I were visiting the grandparents on Long Island (from San Francisco) and wanted to do some things in the city. I looked for Off-Broadway stuff and found Monday Night Magic. It was a fantastic show, with three magicians, plus a fun MC and others doing "close-up" magic during intermission. It's a relatively small venue, maybe seating 300, so you're never in the nosebleed section. My son could not stop talking about the ... read more acts for the next two days!! The close-up magic was as much fun for him as the show was. And frankly, I was very impressed with the magicians and show in general. I recommend that you have a slice of pizza at Two Boots (Italy and Louisiana) across the street and west one block before the show. |

Different everytime we go! Review by: Jasmin, Dec 5, 2008 |
| I've seen this 3 times, and recomended it to the girls next door they loved it as well. My boyfriend liked this show especially. He is not a person that likes to go to plays. He enjoyed the magic and especially the intermission when they come up to you and interact to do tricks. He actually wants to see this again. My friend that came along with us, didn't care too much for this but I think he was too preoccupied with things on his mind, to be ... read more able to appreciate this show, he wanted to take off at intermission. Maybe magic isn't his thing. It was a different show everytime I went. Never gets boring. We felt great after seeing this. |

Don't go!! Review by: , Jul 10, 2007 |
| It was one of the worst, most boring shows I've seen in years. I took my kids and we were all underwhelmed with very basic magic tricks. Half the time the MC was trying to sell stuff. I don't recommend. |

A show for everyone to see again and again! Review by: satin, Jul 23, 2006 |
| I love Monday Night Magic! I've seen it at least 4 or 5 times because every week there's a different mix of performers - mostly magicians, but also knife-throwers, lasso experts, sword swallowers - all amazingly talanted people. I've gone with younger adults, older adults, kids from 7 to 16 and everyone adored it, even the teenagers who go with that "I'm too old for baby magic stuff" attitude. The close-up magic intermission was really ... read more fascinating. I had never seen tricks performed well right in front of me. One time I was standing next to my husband as he got his watch "stolen" and I never saw a thing! Everyone should see this, it's that good! |

Monday NIght Magic = fantastic! Review by: joebob21, Jun 15, 2006 |
| Fantastic show. St. Clements Theater is the ideal venue for this show. If you are in NYC, want to see Magic in NYC, and are free on Monday night, do yourself a favor and get in touch with the folks at Monday Night Magic. I promise you will not be disappointed. |
