Not your first Macbeth Review by: pilgrimpal, Jul 9, 2012 |
I bought a ticket not realizing it would be a one man show, although the man, Alan Cummings, did a spectacular star turn. It was overwhelming. A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing?? Told in Cummings' Scots inflected Shakespearean monologue, it was intense. You probably need to have seen the real Macbeth though, to appreciate it. |
