Funny show and talented actors, would see it again! Review by: Pete, Nov 23, 2006 |
| An excellent show. Very funny all the way through. Some serious and touching moments as well. It deals with a lot of important issues that most of us face throughout a lifetime. The acting as well as the directing were flawless. Don't pay attention to any bad reviews ... they don't know what they are talking about. |

SNORE Review by: parcel, Oct 16, 2006 |
| It wasn't a good show - it wasn't a terrible show - but the people who enjoyed this must be so accustomed to tv sitcoms that they dont know good from bad. The production has mid-riff bulge. It sags in the middle and is not enough to drag a person's behind out of his house as it has nothing really new to say. Jerry Zaks usually known for his wise choices is delinquent. Manhattan Theater Club is delinquent as well for mounting this at Broadway ... read more prices. Devoid of emotion or any unforgettable character I say stay at home and root for the Mets. |

Don't waste time reading the reviews! Review by: stones throw, Oct 16, 2006 |
Don't read or listen to the reviews. THis show was funny to watch and really makes you think about the events that shaped your life when you leave the theater.
We enjoyed it and the cast was very good. Scenery, lighting and costume was also good. If you are a prude, this is not the show for you.
Skip the reviews, go buy tickets. |

Enjoyable but don't add to your "must" list Review by: wertyu, Oct 15, 2006 |
| Enjoyable but with tix at the prices they are, this is DEFINITELY not a must-see. Good acting but predictable situations-biggest laugh gotten with telling of a joke I heard years ago. |

Really liked it Review by: Annie, Oct 12, 2006 |
| This was a good and interesting story-line with an interesting way of telling it. The cast was outstanding except for one disappointing castmember. Mark Linn-Baker was spot on. Definitely recommend. |

Review by: folkyboy, Oct 8, 2006 |
There were several zingers delivered in this delightful number. The story revolves around a single bedroom and two generations sort of meeting in the middle , culminating to the father (Louie) departing.
Anthony (played by a bumbling, yet endearing, Mark Lynn-Baker) always had beef with his father and now here with his bawdy wife (Michelle Pawk). As both go through the affairs, we're taken back in time to remember exactly where he's ... read more coming from.
This story really had the potential to touch me quickly, however most of these actors are sitcom stars and really could've used some theatrical moderation before hammering the moments home. Not to say it devoided emotion, as this story REALLY has supreme heart. I suppose what I'm aiming at, is much of the script moves as such a predictable and believable pace you're left not enough time to mourn the moment prior.
Even if the moment prior left me falling out of my chair in laugher! |

From Linda in Westchester Review by: LMM, Sep 25, 2006 |
| Great show! The acting was perfect and the comic timing the best. We have sent two other couples to see it immediately. Would see it again. Well worth the trip to the city. |

Funny show with a talented cast! Review by: Amanda, Sep 20, 2006 |
| Wonderful show - much better than anticipated. "Sheila" steals the show with her untimely humorous satire. Will definitely see again! |
