| Marga Gomez is an entertainer, an old school entertainer who creates multi-dimensional characters that leap off the stage... full of hilarity, pathos and heart. While the madcap backstage antics of Willy Chevalier and Margarita are riotously unusual, Gomez's exploration of her relationship with her parents strikes a universal chord that brought the audience, myself included, to tears more than once. As suggested by the play's title, "Los Big Names" also explores the implications of the desire for fame and celebrity.. through an intimate, revealing and personal lens. I can't recommend this show highly enough. |
